Preacher Blames Gays, President Obama For Hurricane Sandy

A Christian preacher is blaming homosexuals and President Obama for Hurricane Sandy (better known as Frankenstorm) and the havoc it is wreaking on the East Coast.

Chaplain John McTernan took to his website, Defend and Proclaim the Faith, saying that the the storm is simply God’s judgement for gays as well as for Obama’s backing of same-sex marriage, reports International Business Times.

But Mitt Romney wasn’t spared criticism either, as McTernan attacked him as well. The preacher wrote:

“Obama is 100 percent behind the Muslim Brotherhood which has vowed to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem. Both candidates are pro-homosexual and are behind the homosexual agenda. America is under political judgment and the church does not know it.”

McTernan added that Hurricanes Isaac and Katrina were also blatant examples of God’s judgement for America. He believes:

“Hurricane Sandy is hitting 21 years to the day of the Perfect Storm of October 20, 1991. This was the day that President George Bush Sr initiated the Madrid Peace Process to divide the land of Israel, including Jerusalem. America has been under God’s judgment since this event.”

The Huffington Post notes that the preacher was also critical of Mitt Romney, saying:

“Yes, he is a big time pro-homosexual supporter to the point he will keep open homosexuality in the military; he wants homosexuals in the Boy Scouts; and he wants more open homosexuals in the Republican Party.”

Considering how bad Hurricane Sandy is expected to be, with thousands of people without power and places like Atlantic City already flooding badly, perhaps the preacher blaming gays and President Obama for Frankenstorm should instead be praying for the safety of the people affected.
