Hard At Work, Britney Spears Is Already Recording Her Next Album

Britney Spears has been a busy entertainer lately. The princess of pop released her ninth studio album in September and has had continued success while performing in Las Vegas over the past couple of years. If that all isn’t enough, the latest news about the star is that she’s already working on her next album.

Britney spoke about the lengthy process she went through to create her latest album, Glory and shared a bit about what she intends her focus to be for her tenth studio album. Just Jared relays the “Toxic” singer’s words.

“It took us a couple of years to make this album, and of course over time, musical styles change and sometimes other ideas pop up that you just like better. The songs on Glory were no-brainers for me — they were the best of all the songs we recorded. I’m not sure what I want the next album to sound like. I just know that I’m excited to get into the studio again and actually have already been back recording.”

Brit’s successful Vegas residency has been extended to continue until May of 2017, and the mother of two discussed whether or not she sees herself heading out on tour for her album following wrapping the “Britney Piece of Me” show, which she performs regularly at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Of a potential tour, Spears stated, “I’m not sure yet,” as Entertainment Tonight Canada notes.

Other exciting news about the songstress and stellar dancer, involves rumors of a potential collaboration between Spears and Christina Aguilera. Both singers were teen queens back in the late 90s and early 2000s which sparked a bit of a feud between the two former Mickey Mouse Club stars. While Britney was loved for her catchy tracks and her enticing dance moves, Aguilera was known as the powerhouse vocalist and pop star. The talk of a collaboration came by way of a picture taken of a website page that was then shared on social media by a fan.

Us Weekly relays the details about the picture that has Spears and Aguilera fans crossing their fingers that the collaboration really may take place.

“The excitement all began when Twitter user @TheChristinaVIP shared an image from APRA (Australian Performing Right Association) that has the song registered with the original slate of cowriters — but includes Spears and Aguilera’s names as the tune’s vocalists. German dance duo La Bouche (who are most famous for their 1995 hit “Be My Lover”) are also listed as performers, which would be a welcome addition to the potential collaboration.”

Obviously, the post caused hysteria among the ultra-fans of the two pop stars, and enthusiasts excited for a collab to take place voiced their opinions about the possible duet. The publication continues by sharing a couple of the tweets that went out by fans of Britney and Christina.

“SO THERES A RUMOR ABOUT A BRITNEY AND CHRISTINA COLLAB?! YALL IM SHOOK AS F–K IVE BEEN WAITING 19 YEARS FOR THIS,” one Twitter user enthused, while another jokingly wrote: “If this Britney and Christina collab is a lie I’m fighting everyone idc.”

It would certainly be a welcome duet for fans of the stars seeing as Christina has been a little more low profile as of late. Spears has been all about her sons and her career, but there have been new claims that suggest she’s focusing on romance once more. Until recently, it had been over a year since Brit had parted ways with her ex, Charlie Ebersol. Sources share that Spears has begun a bit of a romance with a star of her video for the single “Slumber Party.” The new man is 22-year-old personal trainer Sam Asghari.
