Kate Gosselin Speaks Out Against Tabloids, Says They Anger Her
Kate Gosselin has dealt with tabloids posting bad things about her ever since her show premiered on Lifetime. Now, the reality star is speaking out on The Dr. Oz Show about how much they anger her and that she isn’t a fan. E! Online shared what Kate had to say on the episode, which airs later today.
Kate Gosselin is revealing that everything the tabloids say about her has actually affected her both physically and mentally. Kate shared details.
“I could live my whole life without them. I’m a very visual person, so your emotional and psychological energy, like, I do actually, picture it as like a barrel of energy, this stuff just eats—it drags you down. It eats away at you. It drains your physical energy.”
Kate Plus 8 started airing back in 2007 on TLC, and they have been in the headlines ever since then. The couple decided to get a divorce in 2009. Kate says that some things said about the family are fact, and others are total fiction.
“It’s probably the most difficult part because I could sit here and do every talk show and every news show every day for the rest of my life and what’s so upsetting is that there’s still going to be a percentage of people that still can’t tell the true me from the tabloid picture they’ve created. And that angers me and that angers me even more when it affects my children and it talks about them.”
It makes sense that Kate would feel this way. She has been in the headlines for things such as child abuse, custody battles with Jon, and more. Kate said that being on television and having tabloids written about you all the time isn’t easy. She has messed up a few times, and she openly admits that. Gosselin also added that dealing with her ex Jon isn’t easy.
“Having an ex-husband who doesn’t see the value in uplifting his children and his family, whether he chooses to be on the show or not, is extremely difficult. But I can’t change those things. All I can change is me and my response and what I teach my children about it.”
Us Magazine also shared that Kate Gosselin is going to speak out against Jon, saying that her kids want a dad who is there for them. Jon has always said that Kate is difficult, but she paints another picture. Kate says that there is an old Jon and a new Jon, and they are totally different people. She added that the kids even see the difference. Now, Kate and Jon only talk when they have to, and it always has to do with the children.
It is unknown if Kate Gosselin will talk about her son Collin at all. It was recently revealed that he was placed into a home so that he could get help with his anger issues. Jon says that he doesn’t even know where his son is right now, and he is fighting to find out. Jon says that Kate doesn’t answer any of his texts.
