‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Vetern Actor Leaving The Soap

Days of Our Lives viewers are about to see yet another actor exit the show. According to reports, one veteran actor will be leaving Salem in the very near future, and fans are now wondering who will be the one to go.

According to Serial Scoop, one of the men of Days of Our Lives will soon be gone from the show. The blind item reveals that a veteran actor, who has only been on the show for the past two years, has already exited the NBC soap. However, the report didn’t reveal which one of the show’s actors would be the one to leave.

Soap Hub reports that the most likely candidates are Vincent Irizarry, who plays Deimos Kiriakis, A. Martinez, who plays Eduardo Hernandez, and Stephen Nichols, who plays Steve “Patch” Johnson. While Nichols has been a longtime favorite of Days of Our Lives fans, he only recently returned to the show, while Irizarry and Martinez have been a part of the soap community for years, but are new to DOOL.

Speculation suggests that Vincent Irizarry might be the one to go, and it might be by his own choice. Although his character, Deimos Kiriakis, is currently wrapped up in a big storyline, as well as a romance with Nicole Walker, Vincent may choose to return to ABC as his former All My Children character, Dr. David Hayward. The recent Prospect Park lawsuit against ABC was dropped two weeks ago, and that means that all of the All My Children and One Life To Live characters are now able to return to General Hospital. This could give a lot of former stars the chance to head back to ABC as their former characters, including Irizarry, but will he leave Days of Our Lives to do it? If Irizarry does leave the show, it will free up Nicole Walker to get a new love interest; perhaps newly single dad, Brady Black.

A. Martinez, who plays Eduardo on the soap, is another possibility. While Eduardo has had a few big storylines, his character has been a bit dull as of late. Expect for his dirty business dealings with his son Dario and his relationship with Kate Roberts, the character hasn’t been in the spotlight in Salem for months.

Meanwhile, Stephen Nichols is another leading man who could be saying goodbye to Days of Our Lives. However, fans aren’t expecting to see his character Steve Johnson leave anytime soon. Steve has been front and center on DOOL since his return. The character has recently reunited with his estranged wife, Kayla Brady, and the two are planning a Valentine’s Day wedding. Meanwhile, Steve’s son, Joey, is currently expecting a baby with his on again, off again girlfriend, Jade, and his daughter Stephanie, played by Shelly Hennig, is on her way back to the show as well.

Days of Our Lives spoilers also reveal that another casting shake-up is in the works. Actress Paige Searcy, who plays Jade Michaels on the show, will be gone in early 2017, and a new actress will be taking her place. Actress Gabrielle Haugh has been picked to take over the role in the new year. Haugh’s credits include the movies Mother, May I Sleep With Danger and The Midnight Man. She’s also recently wrapped three movies, all of which are currently in post-production.

The latest casting news comes after Kate Mansi’s role was recast, and Jen Lilley said a tearful goodbye to Salem. What are your thoughts on all the recent casting shake-ups on Days of Our Lives? Are you surprised by the latest spoilers?
