Luann de Lesseps Ready To Get Married: Will ‘RHONY’ Ladies Cause Trouble At Wedding?

Luann de Lesseps is getting ready to walk down the aisle, as her wedding is just two weeks away. While one can imagine that most people are stressing about getting ready for Christmas, planning the meals and ensuring that everything is ready for a few relaxing days at home, Luann may be thinking about dress fittings, setting up a wedding venue, and perhaps keeping her future husband in check. In two weeks, Luann will drop her last name of “de Lesseps” and take on Thomas D’Agostino’s last name. In addition, she will leave behind her Countess title. Do you still think the wedding is just for show? Luann and Thomas recently picked up their marriage license to legally get married.

According to a new Bravo report, Luann de Lesseps is now more excited than ever to get married to Thomas. It sounds like de Lesseps has forgotten the pain and suffering he put her through when the two of them got engaged earlier this year. In the spring, Luann de Lesseps and her Real Housewives of New York co-stars caught D’Agostino cheating on Luann, as he was caught making out with someone else at the Regency Hotel in New York City. While Bethenny Frankel and the other ladies would have dumped him before the wedding, it sounds like Luann wants to keep going.

And to keep the Real Housewives of New York ladies from creating drama on her big day, Luann de Lesseps has narrowed the guest list to people who will respect her big day. She has invited Dorinda Medley, who is the reason why Luann and Thomas met in the first place. She has also invited Jill Zarin, who is currently helping her husband battle cancer once again. Luann has also invited her ex-husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps and her ex-boyfriend, Jacques Azoulay. But Bethenny, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer may not be in the audience to support her on her big day.

“I think they are excited for me. The girls are happy for me,” Luann de Lesseps has previously told Bravo about how her co-stars are dealing with her decision to move forward with the wedding despite the cheating scandal, adding, “They now see that this is really happening and that Tom and I are in love and so they moved on. I moved on. They see that I’m happy, that’s all that matters.”

Frankel has revealed that she would much rather spend New Year’s Eve with people who she loves than head to Palm Springs for the wedding. It sounds like she will be with her daughter, Bryn, or with her boyfriend’s family. It was a huge shock when Luann defended Thomas after he was caught cheating, which didn’t sit well with Frankel. And earlier this year, de Lesseps opened up in her Bravo blog about her decision to forgive and forget.

“It took me some time to pull myself together after the initial shock. My gut reaction was to think about how this looked to my friends and family, and it wasn’t until I had time to think that I began to understand what I was feeling. We all make mistakes, and some we make in private and others we make for the world to see,” Luann de Lesseps explains about her relationship with Thomas, adding, “After I found out about what Tom had done, I had to dig deep within myself to find the love to forgive, but I did. I forgave him shortly after reuniting back in New York. Was it easy? No way. Am I glad I did? Absolutely. We are still engaged and are finalizing our New Year’s Eve wedding plans. He’s a good man and we love each other. We will stand the test of time regardless of what those women try to do to ruin our happiness.”
