Gwen Stefani might be looking to take her romance with Blake Shelton to the next level. Radar Online reports the No Doubt alum was spotted shopping for jewelry at XIV Karats in Beverly Hills. Is this a sign that an engagement is in the works?
Stefani was caught just outside the jewelry store and even flashed a small smile for the cameras. The shopping outing has only fueled more rumors of a possible wedding, which has plagued the couple all year long.
The couple is allegedly planning on tying the knot in a ceremony at the Church of the Good Shepherd, located in Beverly Hills. The wedding is expected to go down on May 5, though the plans have encountered a few obstacles.
“They can hardly agree on anything!” an insider dished. “Gwen wants to go big on this — and Blake wanted to make it an informal affair down home in Tennessee or their new place in Oklahoma — but he’s not willing to go to the mat against her.”
For Stefani, a large wedding will include hundreds of guests. Unfortunately, it sounds like Shelton wants an even smaller ceremony. Will they agree on the size of the wedding before it’s too late?
“Gwen’s guest list was 700 people alone,” the insider explained. “She also wanted to have a bunch of celebrity music stars perform — but he didn’t want to turn the wedding into Woodstock.”
To compromise, Stefani reportedly cut the list down to around 400 guests. So far, the celebrities that are expected to make an appearance include the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Justin Theroux, Johnny McDaid, Keith Urban, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, and Nicole Kidman.
“They’re seriously considering inviting Gwen’s cheating ex, Gavin Rossdale, and Blake’s former wife, Miranda Lambert,” the insider added. “They’re making sure to invite them with a plus one. Won’t THAT be interesting?”
While Shelton and Gwen Stefani have not confirmed the wedding plans, Hollywood Life reports that they just spent a weekend together at Lake Arrowhead, California. Stefani took her three boys on the outing – Kingston (10), Zuma (8), and Apollo (2) – and everyone looked like they had a blast.
Fans spotted the couple making their way through Lake Arrowhead on Saturday. They all wore matching camo attire and blue jeans during the getaway, which included a little holiday shopping.
Shelton has been dating the No Doubt rocker for over a year. According to Daily Mail, the country crooner gushed about his romance with Stefani during an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“Sure! Sure! I love talking about Gwen. Are you kidding me?” Shelton told DeGeneres after she asked about their relationship. “It has been such an eye-opener, I mean, to be with somebody like her.”
Shelton continued, “Believe it or not. I mean, you think Gwen Stefani and No Doubt… she’s literally the most normal person that I have ever met in my life.”
Considering their heated romance, it’s not that surprising that Shelton and Stefani are making plans to exchange vows. According to Us Magazine, they are on the verge of finalizing the plans and have even talked to vendors.
For her part, Stefani is thrilled about how things worked out with Shelton.
“Sometimes to be woken up again in life, you need to go through some really bad, hard times,” she told Glamour magazine. “I feel like I got woken up this year.”
While fans wait to learn more about the coming wedding, Stefani is slated to rejoin Shelton on The Voice next season. Stefani is replacing Miley Cyrus on the hit singing competition, marking the first time she and Shelton have worked together since announcing their romance.
