Angelina Jolie Is ‘Holding On’ Amid Brad Pitt Divorce And Custody Battle, Claims Dad

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are parting ways after 12 years together and two years of marriage, and during a recent appearance, Jolie’s father, Jon Voight, spoke out about their divorce.

As the estranged pair continues to battle over custody of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, Voight claims his 41-year-old actress daughter is doing okay and continuing to hold on.

“She’s OK,” Voight told E! News of Angelina Jolie.

“She’s holding on.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 21 after two years of marriage and requested she be given full custody of her and Pitt’s six children. At the time, a source told TMZ that Angelina Jolie’s decision to end her marriage came after she and Pitt reportedly began feuding over how they parent their children.

During the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them premiere last month, Voight declined to comment on the end of his daughter’s marriage and instead said, “I appreciate everybody’s concern and their prayers. Hopefully things will work out.”

According to TMZ, sources claimed Angelina Jolie was reportedly concerned about Pitt’s alleged substance abuse and anger when she filed for divorce and cited irreconcilable differences and requested Pitt be given nothing more than visitation with their children. As the outlet explained, Angelina Jolie reportedly does not want Pitt having joint physical custody — only joint legal custody.

“[Angelina Jolie]’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children… she was extremely upset with his methods,” TMZ revealed to readers, adding that the actress was “fed up” with Pitt’s reported consumption of weed and possibly alcohol.

As the outlet continued, Angelina Jolie allegedly believed Pitt was dealing with “an anger problem” as well, which she reportedly felt was dangerous for their children.

In a statement at the time, Angelina Jolie’s entertainment attorney, Robert Offer, said she made the decision to end her marriage “for the health of the family.”

In other Angelina Jolie news, the actress’ children are reportedly feeling home sick as they continue to adjust to their new lives.

“Angelina Jolie has been struggling with keeping the kids happy,” an insider told Hollywood Life.

“It’s been weeks since the kids moved out of their home and they are getting homesick. The children are sad, miss the huge house they grew up in, and have been complaining to Angelina that they want to go home. The older children are not happy with the situation while the younger kids are having trouble understanding why they can’t just go home.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had several homes during their marriage, including houses in New Orleans, New York City, and France, but when it came to the kids’ true “home,” the source claimed the brood always felt that their house in Los Feliz was their home base.

“The Los Feliz home has been where the kids have spent most of their time growing up,” the insider explained.

“Brad has built a huge skate ramp for the kids on the property and they all have their own rooms there too. They may have lots of houses but the Los Feliz house has always been home.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reportedly have a clear prenup when it comes to dividing up their homes, but when it comes to the custody of their children, their agreement is much less clear. In fact, months ago, TMZ claimed their custody battle would likely be where their “war” would play out. The report also noted that Pitt was reportedly planning to fight for joint custody of his children.
