‘Flip Or Flop’ Tarek And Christina El Moussa’s Separation: Back Together For The Kids?

Tarek and Christina El Moussa are parting ways, but luckily, it appears as though the Flip or Flop couple has their children’s best interests in mind.

Although Tarek and Christina El Moussa announced they had separated months ago in a statement on Monday, the house flippers have appeared to be one happy family in their recent posts on social media, including their posts on their joint Facebook page.

On December 13, People Magazine revealed that Tarek and Christina El Moussa had taken their two children, daughter Taylor Reese, 6, and son Brayden James, 1, to see Santa Claus just one day before they confirmed their separation. On Instagram, Christina shared a photo of her children sitting on the lap of Santa and included three emojis in the caption of her photo: a Christmas tree, a Santa, and a red heart.

Christina El Moussa also recently shared a photo of herself and Tarek. However, the photo did not appear to be current. Instead, the Instagram snap seemed to be a promotional photo from their show, Flip or Flop, which Christina shared while reminding fans of an upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, Tarek El Moussa has shared photos of himself and his wife as well, but like Christina’s photo, his have not been current — at least for the most part. In addition to a photo shared last week which featured a promotional shot of himself and his estranged wife, Tarek shared a throwback photo of himself and Christina one week prior in which he was seen in the hospital.

In the caption of the photo, Tarek wrote, “Rough couple of years.. Today I Went in for another cancer screening and it was all clear! I remember the day we took this photo.”

Although Tarek and Christina El Moussa don’t appear to have been seen in any non-work-related photos in recent weeks, they have remained focused on their children and celebrated their son’s 1st birthday together in August.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa confirmed news of their split on December 12, just days after the seventh season of their show premiered on HGTV.

“We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed,” Tarek and Christina El Moussa explained in a joint statement to People Magazine on Monday.

“During the process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”

As for why Tarek and Christina El Moussa parted ways, a source on December 12 claimed to People Magazine that fame may have been to blame.

“In a lot of ways they just seemed wildly incompatible,” a source explained to the magazine.

“She has champagne tastes, and he’s a beer-from-a-can kind of guy… And that was okay for a while when all they could afford was canned beer — they were on the same page, working together to make it and to do the best with what they had. But the stardom from the show, and the money from the show, meant that she started to feel like she could finally have some of the finer things in life.”

Although Tarek and Christina El Moussa have moved on from their marriage and are reportedly dating other people at the present time, they will continue to film with HGTV and are expected to present an eighth season to fans at some point next year.
