Val Chmerkovskiy Dating Amber Rose? ‘DWTS’ Fans React
Val Chmerkovskiy has been playing coy about his relationship with Amber Rose, but the proof may be in the pictures. The Dancing With the Stars mirrorball champ was caught red-handed holding hands with the 33-year-old model, and recent social media posts have only fueled rumors that the two celebs are a thing.
According to Us Weekly, Val and Amber held hands as they arrived at the West Hollywood supper club Delilah for a dinner date over the weekend. The duo had a similar date in October when they cozied up together at a private table at the Hollywood hotspot, but this time paparazzi snapped them holding hands. A source told the magazine that while Chmerkovskiy and Rose started out as just friends, “it’s recently turned into more and they have been hooking up.”
A few days after her dinner date with Val, Amber took to Instagram to post a photo of the two of them cozying up together. Rose captioned the photo with the word “Him” with a heart next to it.
Val Chmerkovskiy has denied that he is in a romantic relationship with Rose, who was partnered with his brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy for the most recent cycle of Dancing With the Stars. In October, a source for Val told Entertainment Tonight that the DWTS champ doesn’t mind being the subject of romance rumors. In fact, it sounds like he thrives on it.
“Val and Amber are not dating,” the source told ET. “He just loves the attention, and that’s why he doesn’t care if the media spreads those rumors.”
Val Chmerkovskiy previously told Entertainment Tonight that he can’t control the rumor mill so he just tries to live his life.
“I can’t control what people think,” Val told ET. “I live my life and I try to live it, you know, the way I want to live it.”
After Rose posted a photo of Val Chmerkovskiy hugging her with the caption “Ukranian Hottie,” the DWTS champ replied to comments that he and the model would make a cute couple.
“I’d make a cute couple with a lot of people, you know what I’m sayin’?” Val joked.
In recent months, Val Chmerkovskiy has also been linked with Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Jenna Johnson, but he has yet to confirm his dating status with either woman. Of course, if Val is just “hooking up” with Amber, the relationship could be doomed before it even starts. Last fall, Chmerkovskiy told Entertainment Tonight that he has lost friendships over hookups.
“I have never hooked up with somebody and it working out,” Val told ET. “Never. That whole blind date, friend of a friend thing never works out, and then I stop being friends with the friend. So it’s always awkward.”
But Val Chmerkovskiy admitted that he was looking for someone to have a romantic relationship with.
“I love to love,” Chmerkovskiy said. “I just have to find somebody to love.”
At the time, Maks Chmerkovskiy’s fiancé, Peta Murgatroyd, even told ET that she was actively searching for a soulmate for her soon-to-be brother-in-law. But now it seems she won’t have to if rumors about Val’s romance with Amber Rose are true.
Of course, Dancing With the Stars fans have plenty of opinions regarding a relationship between Val Chmerkovskiy and Amber Rose. Some of Val and Amber’s social media posts have been inundated with comments. A few jealous Val fans have posted that they are “disappointed” that he would date the ex of Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, and Machine Gun Kelly. Others have described Amber and Val as a “beautiful couple.”
