TV personality Erin Andrews has been fairly quiet about her reported engagement to NHL player Jarret Stoll, but her Dancing with the Stars partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy might just have provided the confirmation that everybody has been waiting for.
According to Us Weekly, during an interview with Fox 5 in Las Vegas on Dec. 9, Maksim was asked to mention his best and worst partners and he dropped Erin Andrews as right up there with the best. But he could not help but add, “maybe just got engaged.”
There could be some truth to the revelation considering that the dancing pro explained his decision to out Erin Andrews as a form of payback. Apparently, Andrews unwittingly announced to the world the pregnancy of Maksim’s fiancée, Peta Murgatroyd, when she didn’t know that she was still on mic backstage.
“I had an amazing time with Erin Andrews, who I think maybe just got engaged and maybe I’m breaking the news, I’m not sure,” he said. “She also kinda, maybe broke the news of us being pregnant, so maybe that’s returning the favor over here.”
It was in May when Andrews made the snafu, two days later, Maksim and Peta confirmed the baby news. Their first child is due in a few weeks, E! News reported.
In a previous interview with Redbook, Andrews talked about her boyfriend Stoll.
“I have no idea what tomorrow will bring,” she said. “We’re brought up thinking our lives are going to be a Taylor Swift song. Then you get older and wiser. You don’t know what is going to bring you happiness.”
Even if society puts pressure on women to get married early, the sportscaster said that she always knew what she wanted.
“I happen to be one of those women who thinks it is possible to have it all,” Andrews stated in the interview. “Where I grew up, a lot of women start having children at 22. All of my friends from college and high school have three kids now. I’m not even engaged! I hope to have that, but look at what I’ve done: I’ve hopefully had a hand in opening the door for other women. I believe family is the next step.”
Meanwhile, People noted that Andrews might have hinted about the engagement with her boyfriend in various social media posts.
For instance, when DWTS professional dancer Emma Slater asked her to confirm the engagement rumors, the TV presenter got coy and answered with hearts and kissing emojis. And when one of her Twitter followers commented, “I love how @ErinAndrews is kinda hinting at her engagement and it goes over everybody’s heads. So happy for her,” Andrews replied with another kissing emoji.
There was also the time when Andrews posted on Twitter an image of the weather for Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, which predicted a cloudy day and some snow. She tagged her boyfriend along with the comment, “This weather at Lambeau is really going to put a damper on my ring game.”

People also sought comments from representatives of both Andrews and Stoll on the engagement news but have gotten no reply so far.
Even TMZ tried to get word from the 38-year-old beauty to confirm the engagement, but its questions were reportedly disregarded. But then, the entertainment gossip site took the social media posts from Andrews as confirmation that she did indeed take her relationship with the hockey star to another level.
“c’mon, when have emojis ever led us astray??,” the article cheekily commented.
