Matt Ryan threw for three touchdown passes on his teams first three possessions and led the Falcons to a 7-0 start with an impressive 30-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Matt Ryan's drives included an opening possession in which he pushed the ball 80 yards on 16 plays. Ryan also converted five third downs during his team's opening set.

After the game, Asante Samuel, a former Eagle, said of his team's win:

"We're 7-0 over here baby. If I was over there now, they have to go to work."

Eagles coach Andy Reid said of his team's play:

"That was an embarrassing performance. I'm stating the obvious. We need to get better. I need to do a better job. This is fixable. We have the talent."

Former Falcons QB Michael Vick managed not to turn the ball over during the game, but he also failed to convert on several possessions.

When asked if he was worried about losing the starting job to Nick Foles, Michael Vick said:

"Whatever decision coach makes, I support it. I know I'm giving it everything I have when I'm out there."
