Taylor Swift, Drake Still Being Linked As Singer’s 27th Birthday Approaches
The world wants to believe that Taylor Swift and Drake are dating. The two were first linked at Drake’s 30th birthday party back in October. It also didn’t help the dating rumors when both artists took to their Instagram accounts to share photos from the rapper’s birthday party.
Taylor Swift, 26, has been through her share of makeups and breakups this year. The singer was still in a long-term relationship with DJ Calvin Harris, 32, at the beginning of the year, but the two called it quits by June. A few weeks later, Swift was spotted on a whirlwind romance with actor Tom Hiddleston, 35, but their short-lived romance fizzled by September. Now, Swift has been linked to Drake ever since she showed up to his star-studded birthday party with her squad in tow.
Drake then shared this photo of him and Swift huddled together as they spoke at his party.
Now it’s being rumored that Swift and Drake are dating and that he wants to “impress” the pop star on her birthday. He is feeling pressured about finding the perfect gift for the girl who has everything. Swift will be celebrating her 27th birthday on Tuesday, Dec. 13, reports Ace Showbiz.
Drake wants to profess his love for Swift in a major way, claims Hollywood Life. He wants to purchase several billboards all over Los Angeles in order to wish her a happy birthday, an alleged insider told the celebrity gossip blog.
“He would love nothing more than to see Taylor’s beautiful face with a special birthday message on a billboard plastered all over CA,” the source said. But, “he used this tactic with Rihanna to congratulate her on the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award” that she later received at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Drake doesn’t repeat what he’s done before. So, he’s stuck on getting the pop princess the perfect gift, even if it’s silly.
“Taylor is super special to him and he doesn’t want to upset her or make her feel like she’s second fiddle by doing something that he already did for another female. He even contemplated dressing up as Santa, with the intent that she would sit on his lap while he gives he a present. But, he thought that would be too corny.”
While Drake is seen as a smooth and hip rapper, he has a bit of a nerdy side that Swift reportedly brings out of him. He also can’t find the right words to say whenever she’s around, the insider alleges.
“Drake’s usually when it comes to surprises, but where Taylor is concerned he’s at a total loss,” the source added.
“He’s got a day left to figure it out and he’s scrambling like crazy to impress Taylor with a birthday present with a wow factor.”
Hollywood Life has also alleged that Swift and Drake have been on their share of secret hangouts and romantic dinner dates. The “Hotline Bling” rapper has already won her over when it comes to his music and his charm. There have been multiple reports that the two are collaborating on Swift’s upcoming album. And, it has also been rumored that Drake and Swift are in talks for performing a song together at the 2017 Grammys.
“The Drake and Taylor collaboration may end up on The Grammys,” another source told Hollywood Life.
“The Grammys has a long history of putting artists together for some pretty epic duets and Drake and Taylor have been talking about doing one themselves for this years show. They are definitely working on music and have to come up with a song that they would perform but the wheels are certainly in motion.”
