Zayn Malik is currently in a time of mourning because of the loss of the mother of his former One Direction bandmate, Louis Tomlinson. Nevertheless, it has been a busy time for Zayn Malik at the end of 2016, and, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, this includes expanding his fashion merchandise empire.
During the same weekend that Louis Tomlinson lost his mother, Zayn Malik was releasing a single by another one of his ex-bandmates' ex-girlfriends, Taylor Swift. Us Weekly Magazine reported on December 8 that Zayn Malik and Harry Styles' ex, Taylor Swift, released a single for the new Fifty Shades Darker film and the timing could not be worse.
However, this does not mean that Zayn Malik has not been paying attention to the hard times that his One Direction family has been having lately. In fact, Metro reported on December 11 that Zayn Malik is privately supporting Louis Tomlinson during the loss of his mother, who died last week at age 43 from leukemia.
Mirror adds to this by stating that although Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are not together physically in the same country, he has been sending messages of support. However, despite tweets from Zayn Malik fans that stated otherwise, Zayn did not attend Louis Tomlinson's recent live performance at Wembley Arena that was dedicated to his mother.
Insiders say there are reasons it was "best" that Zayn Malik did not come to see Louis Tomlinson at Wembley Arena, according to Hollywood Life, and their December 11 report stated the following.
"There is still quite a lot of animosity between Zayn and the rest of the gang, and it was actually a good thing he wasn't there because it would have taken a whole different identity to the night that no one wanted… They wanted to mourn together and if they played buddy-buddy with Zayn it would not have been genuine and added a sore spot to everything."Instead, Zayn Malik spent that night of Louis' performance in New York City, and he was seen going to the Billboard Women in Music Awards on December 10, according to Just Jared.
On top of dealing with One Direction family drama, Zayn Malik is also involved with his sister being targeted by racists. According to Mirror, Zayn Malik's sister, Safaa Malik, posted a picture of a Christmas tree and this incensed some Instagram followers.
Zayn Malik's parents are of Muslim and Christian descent, and the Malik family celebrates holidays from both traditions. Sadly, one person wrote that Zayn Malik's family was a "disgrace to the faith." It is not clear if the person was insinuating if Zayn Malik's family were a disgrace to the Christian or Muslim faith.
In the meantime, there is still a lot of encouragement for Zayn Malik from other celebrities to give performing another chance. For example, Robbie Williams, of the boy band Take That, was quoted by The Sun stating he wanted to reach out to Zayn Malik about his anxiety issues and said the following.
"I think that people sort of assume that one day you're gonna find your confidence and you will step into that confidence and it will find you. It doesn't come but what you can be is brave… You might never be confident but you can be brave. That's I'll say. Even if you're scared just do it anyway."Although Zayn Malik recently won an American Music Award for Best New Artist of the Year, one other area that Zayn Malik fans are interested in is his lack of Grammy Awards.
Just Jared Jr. wrote on December 6 that Zayn Malik fans feel he was "snubbed" by the Grammys when they released the 2017 nominations. Nonetheless, it is likely that Zayn will not get one because he "is ineligible for Best New Artist because of his four-year run with One Direction."
