WWE Rumors: Bray Wyatt Rumored To Win 2017 Royal Rumble Match?

During the Road to WrestleMania, the WWE has to finalize their plans for the Grandaddy of Them All, WrestleMania. This year, it’s the 33rd anniversary of WWE’s biggest night. These storylines they come up with have to culminate in something big in late-March, or early-April. In the past few years, the WWE has been able to creatively design great storylines, especially at WrestleMania 30 and 31. Daniel Bryan finally captured the WWE championship at the hands of the Authority. One year later, Seth Rollins cashed in.

He used his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to become a WWE champion; the first in his young career. Other matches like Lesnar and the Undertaker were able to bring the WWE Universe to their feet. CM Punk and Chris Jericho had a great match at WrestleMania 28. What was once in a lifetime turned into a second time in two years. The Rock and John Cena finally wrestled at WrestleMania 28 and 29 in two good matches.

Most big plans for WrestleMania begin at the Royal Rumble. To avoid the disaster that took place in Pittsburgh two years ago, there must be a decision that is best for business. For those that remember, that was when Batista won the Royal Rumble in his return match in the WWE. A lot of people expected Bryan to come out at No. 30, but it was Rey Mysterio instead. After that, the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh exploded with more pessimism than initially thought.

It ruined the build to WrestleMania 30 until Bryan ended up with the magical moment. There must be one just as great, but at the Royal Rumble match instead. That means the right person needs to come up victorious. New rumors are popping up every day, but this one specifically should get WWE fans excited. According to the 434, Bray Wyatt’s name is being linked to a Royal Rumble victory.

According to sources, the current favorite to win the Royal Rumble is Bray Wyatt with the help of The Wyatt Family, Randy Orton, and Luke Harper.

It sounds like WWE want to have Wyatt win similar to how Orton won the match back in 2009 with the help of the legacy. If Wyatt does win the match, it seems like he will challenge whoever is WWE Champion at the time, which is likely to be AJ Styles.

Again, it’s only a rumor for now, so keep a tab on what takes place in the next two months. Wyatt could be in for the push of his life; that is, if he remains healthy. He’s had an injury problem at the worst times. Currently, he’s one-third of the Smackdown Tag-Team champions. Alongside Orton and Harper, they’re a force to be reckoned with on Tuesday nights. It took several years, but now Wyatt is a champion in the WWE.

In a recent article by the Inquisitr, the Wyatt Family is operating under the “Freebird Rule” on Smackdown Live. So, any one of them can challenge for the championship and wrestle at any time. Logically-speaking, it will be harder for teams to take it away from them. If Wyatt is truly a contender to win the Royal Rumble, then dropping the titles before then or WrestleMania, is much more likely.

Jim Ross recently published a new blog displaying the challenge it will be to keep Wyatt babyface. He’s absolutely right. It’s hard to disdain Wyatt and his family. They aren’t heel, but don’t exactly act like faces either. The WWE has a big challenge on their hands to book him properly. Just in case there’s a WrestleMania plan moving forward, Wyatt needs a clear direction.
