Louis Tomlinson’s Mother Died: One Direction Fans Tell Him And Siblings To ‘Just Hold On’

One Direction fans are in mourning after news broke yesterday that Louis Tomlinson’s mother had died. Louis and his six siblings lost their mother as a result of a short battle against an aggressive form of leukemia. Johannah Deakin was just 43-years old. One Direction fans often get a bad rap in the media, but you can be sure of one thing: when Tomlinson or one of his bandmates are hurting, the fans are there to lend their love and support. When Louis’ heart is broken, his fans hearts are breaking too.

Tomlinson’s fans have reached out to support Louis and his siblings, Lottie, Felicite, twins Daisy and Phoebe, and twins Ernest and Doris, who are just 2-years-old. One Direction fans were last night reflecting on the fact that Johannah passed away because of cancer. She gave so much of her time to charities helping children with cancer.

According to the Sun, Louis’ family released details of her passing in a statement that asked that Tomlinson’s family be allowed privacy to grieve.

“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.”

“Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”

The Mirror reported that Louis’ step-father, Dan Deakin, paid tribute to Johannah, calling her “incredibly selfless” and a “truly amazing mother.”

“She would always look to put other people before herself.”

“She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving. She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families.

It is for her charity work that most One Direction fans will remember Johannah. Regular Inquisitr readers may recall that we were given a rare insight into Louis and his mother’s kindness earlier this year. Sarah Hext, who lost her son Harvey to childhood cancer neuroblastoma, exclusively told us just how kind Louis and Johannah had been to her family.

“When it became clear that Harvey didn’t have long left Jay came to visit us at home with Louis’ sisters Daisy and Phoebe. The girls played with Harvey and Spencer all day and Louis sent Olivia a beautiful Pandora bracelet along with a huge stack of toys for the boys.”

“As they left that day we discussed Louis arranging for a “winter wonderland” to be built in our garden for Harvey but sadly Harvey was taken before that could happen.”

Like Sarah Hext, One Direction fans will remember a woman described as having a heart of pure gold. Johannah will also be remembered as a fabulous mother, who raised a large family and instilled a strong sense of right and wrong in her children. Despite his fame, Louis has always remained grounded and mindful of those less fortunate than him. Tomlinson has always credited his mother for his having those values.

The Tomlinson family will be touched by the support that One Direction fans shown to Louis and his siblings. When the shock wears off, perhaps Louis and his siblings will take comfort in the fact that their mother was loved by millions of people that never met her.

Tomlinson is due to launch his career as a solo artist on tonight’s X-Factor, the show that set him on the road to fame. Louis will still appear on the show as a tribute to his mother. It is sure to be an emotional occasion for Tomlinson, his siblings, and for Louis’ fans.

This morning Louis broke his silence on his mother’s death with a simple message on Twitter thanking fans for their support. The message to Louis and his siblings from One Direction fans is a simple one, “just hold on.”
