‘Catwoman’ Arrested: Jocelyn Wildenstein’s Mugshot Reveals Changing Face

New York socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein was arrested for “clawing her boyfriend’s face and slashing his chest with scissors.” The shocking mugshot of the alleged plastic surgery addict dubbed “Catwoman” was revealed following her arrest.

Jocelyn Wildenstein’s face appeared puffy and stretched out in the mugshot that was released by the police department. In addition, Wildenstein’s face has a grayish appearance, and her lips appear puffy and bloated. The 71-year-old, who has also been called the “Bride of Wildenstein,” appeared in court on Wednesday, December 7, reports the Sun.

She has been charged with assaulting boyfriend and designer Lloyd Klein. He accused Wildenstein of cutting his face and chest with scissors and throwing hot wax on him after she flew into a “violent rage” inside her home in Trump World Tower. Klein, 49, had to throw Wildenstein inside a closet to prevent another attack. The argument occurred after Wildenstein accused her boyfriend of spending too much time on social media.

“The victim is a 49-year-old male… Wildenstein is accused of scratching his face with her fingernails and using a pair of scissors to cut him on the upper-right part of his chest,” the spokesperson told People on Wednesday. “The victim suffered bleeding. However, he refused medical attention at the scene.”

Police rushed to the scene on Wednesday and took Wildenstein away on felony assault charges. The Swedish-born socialite reportedly spent millions of dollars on plastic surgery procedures to please her cat-obsessed husband, Alec Wildenstein, who passed away in 2008. She first made headlines in 1999 when the couple divorced, and she won the largest divorce settlement in history. Wildenstein got $2.5 billion and an additional $100 million per year for 13 years after ending their marriage of 21 years. The couple has two children, Diane and Alec Jr.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in 1998, Wildenstein opened up about her spending habits rather than her plastic surgery obsession. She admitted that she spent $350,000 on a Chanel dress and $3 million on a mansion for her daughter’s 17th birthday. In a regular month, Jocelyn and Alec would spend $1 million a month on their lavish lifestyle.

Although it was rumored that Wildenstein’s looks were for her husband, Alec revealed that he had no idea that she was altering her looks until he saw her after her procedures.

“She was crazy. I would always find out last. She was thinking that she could fix her face like a piece of furniture. Skin does not work that way. But she wouldn’t listen.”

Jocelyn told Vanity Fair that she found Alec in bed with another woman and ushered him out of their home with security guards. Things got so intense between the two that Alec’s father, Daniel, banned Jocelyn from the family properties, including their New York townhouse, their Paris apartment, the 66,000-acre Ol Jogi ranch, and their private compound in the British Virgin Islands, reports the Daily Mail. In addition, Jocelyn’s credit cards were cut off and her monthly allowance was lowered to $50,000 per month, which her lawyers fought in court.

Jocelyn reportedly was inspired by the look of felines and has undergone various eye-lifts, face-lifts, among other procedures.

A friend of the starlet told Vanity Fair at the time of the article, “I don’t think I’ve known her when she wasn’t healing from something.”

Not much is known about Wildenstein’s upbringing other than she was the daughter of a struggling department store buyer, reports Business Insider. When she was 17, she started dating Swiss movie producer Cyril Piguet. She told New York magazine that two years later, they moved to Paris to live together. Wildenstein has been with her share of high-profile men since then.
