Kenya Moore Friendships: ‘RHOA’ Star Explains Why She Trusts Phaedra Parks Now

Kenya Moore has been through quite the friendships while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta over the years, as she’s been close with almost every co-star she’s had, and she has also fought with all of them. At one point, many people thought that Moore didn’t have any friends left on the show and they wondered whether she would even be back. But Kenya is back on the show, and she’s now aligning herself with someone very unexpected. As it turns out, Moore decided to work on her friendship with Phaedra Parks, as the two women used to be close friends.

According to a new Bravo report, Kenya Moore is now revealing that her friendship with Phaedra is relatively early because of their past. The two started out as friends and then they had a falling out. And it was an ugly one, as Kenya Moore called Phaedra for fake and Parks argued back that Kenya was paying men to play her boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But it sounds like both ladies have put their past issues aside and they are now ready to work on a true friendship.

During an interview with the Daily Dish, Moore reveals that she’s “in a much better place with Phaedra,” and she’s “just getting to know her again” these days. The two ladies have filmed various scenes together for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, including going for coffee and lunches. And Moore reveals that they could move on because they both accepted responsibility for their actions over the past couple of years.

“Phaedra and I had apologized to each other two years ago, accepted one another’s apology, and really, to me, had a heartfelt one-on-one and owned what we did to each other. It wasn’t one-sided, one person didn’t refuse to apologize or own it,” Kenya Moore explains of her decision to move forward with Parks, hinting that they did have a past together before things went awry.

“And I believe the difference is that Phaedra and I started off as being friends, it went askew, and then we decided that you know what, it’s been enough time, and we have both owned what we have done to each other and we just want to move on. We want to evolve. We’re grown women. Let’s just put all that stuff behind us. And I think it makes it easier that way,” Kenya reveals about how the ladies have grown and put the drama behind them.

But Kenya Moore also points to shifting friendships on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It’s no secret that friendships and alliances tend to shift on these shows, as fans have recently seen on both the Atlanta franchise, but also on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Best friends can go from being super close to using one another’s secrets in brutal fights on national television. And Kenya believes that it was time for a shift, as Parks and Kandi Burruss were not friends anymore. It was the perfect time for Moore to start building her friendship with Parks once again.

“I’m friends with Kandi Burruss and Kandi isn’t close to Phaedra anymore. Cynthia Bailey had fallings out with Porsha and Phaedra, and we all have had fallings out with each other, and they evolve. Our relationships evolve over time,” Kenya Moore explains, according to Bravo.

What do you think of Kenya Moore’s comments about her friendship with Phaedra Parks? Do you think these two ladies can maintain a long-term friendship or do you think a simple comment will tear them apart within a few years?
