Scheana Marie And Mike Shay Divorce: New Details Emerge

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay are headed for divorce, and when it comes to why, there have been a few different reports.

While some say it was Mike Shay and his rumored drug use that led Scheana Marie to call it quits, others claimed it was Scheana Marie who planted false information about her husband in an effort to lock down a storyline for Vanderpump Rules Season 5.

Although fans may have to wait and see what really led to the end of Scheana Marie’s marriage, her co-star and friend, Kristen Doute, recently shed some light on the situation during an appearance on Maria Menounos’ Sirius XM radio show and revealed that details about their breakup would soon be seen on the Bravo reality show.

“It wasn’t going to, but [Scheana Marie] agreed to. Because it kind of just all started happening in the last few months… they’ve taped some stuff,” Doute told Menounos, according to a report from Radar Online on December 3.

“Obviously there are other things that will come out on this season that were reasons as to why,” Doute continued. “[Scheana Marie] definitely had some other reasons and things that have happened between the two of them.”

According to Doute, Scheana Marie asked for a divorce, but when it comes to a messy split, there likely won’t be one.

“This isn’t like a dirty situation like they’re fighting about it,” Doute explained. “He probably knew what he’d done that created this.”

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay were involved in a romance when fans first met them on Vanderpump Rules Season 1 and during Season 2, the couple became engaged at the Beverly Hills home of Lisa Vanderpump, who also stars on the show.

After becoming engaged during Vanderpump Rules Season 2, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay got married, and a short time after that, they began to face marital troubles due to Shay’s struggles with addiction. Throughout Vanderpump Rules Season 4, Scheana Marie frequently spoke of her husband’s issues, and by the end of the year, they appeared to be in a much better place.

Sadly, they have since taken another turn for the worse and this time around, their marital troubles have led to Scheana Marie to file for divorce.

When Scheana Marie’s plans for divorce hit the web, TMZ reported that Scheana Marie had allegedly suspected her husband may be off the wagon and revealed that he had allegedly cleared out their bank account. However, weeks later, Mike Shay’s bandmate spoke out about the couple’s split and blamed Scheana Marie for their demise.

“When [Scheana Marie] reported that Mike was missing, he was performing live shows and she knew where he was,” Shay’s bandmate Nicole Arbour revealed to Radar Online days ago. “He was on red carpet! Like that’s how much of a lie all of this was.”

“[The divorce] is definitely [Scheana Marie’s fault and she tried to sabotage Mike’s live show because she’s jealous that he was getting more attention than her. She needs a storyline so she made up that he’s doing drugs and drinking again, and that just wasn’t true. That’s what sparked the breakup.”

“[Scheana Marie] made up those things up to try and have an interesting storyline to get a lot of attention around the Vanderpump Rules premiere,” Arbour continued, “and throwing your husband under the bus while he’s completely clean and sober and happy and working on something he’s completely proud of is disgusting.”
