Mitt Romney Gets Meat Loaf Endorsement [Video]

There are still 12 days until the 2012 Presidential Election, but the race might as well be called now. Meat Loaf, legendary 80s rocker who will do almost anything for love, has just endorsed Mitt Romney for president.

The L.A, Times reports that Meat Loaf stood next to Romney at a rally in Ohio and told potential voters that Mitt Romney would “stand tall” for the country and was the only candidate who would be able to end the cold war.

Meat Loaf said:

“This is the most important election in the history of the United States, because there has storm clouds come over the United States. There is thunderstorms over Europe. There are hailstorms, and I mean major hailstorms, in the Middle East. There are storms brewing through China, through Asia …. The other night when President Barack Obama, God bless him, said to Mitt Romney, ‘The Cold War is over.’ I have never heard such a thing in my life. There is one man who will stand tall in this country and fight the storm and bring the United States back to what it should be — Gov. Mitt Romney!”

Meat Loaf also gave a strange endorsement of Paul Ryan saying that the potential vice president “has not pushed me off the cliff in a wheelchair.”

And that’s truly all that you want from a vice president, right? That he won’t push you off a cliff in a wheel chair…

Meat Loaf’s strange endorsement was only upstaged by his scream singing. The 80s singer joined Big & Rich for several songs during the Ohio rally.

Here’s a video of Meat Loaf singing at the rally for Mitt Romney.

Romney seemed a little confused by Meat Loaf’s endorsement. Romney said:

“Was it not just amazing to have Big & Rich performing, and then Meat Loaf? I mean Meat Loaf was here, can you believe it? I have to tell you, I don’t recall having so much fun in such a long time as to be able to listen to these guys this evening.”

Do you think Meat Loaf’s endorsement of Mitt Romney will help or hurt the GOP candidate?
