Selena Gomez Goes Christmas Shopping After Niall Horan Expresses Interest In Dating

Selena Gomez is back in the spotlight after taking a 90-day career hiatus earlier this year and on Friday, the “Same Old Love” singer was spotted shopping in Santa Monica, California — in her pajamas.

According to a new report, Selena Gomez looked as if she was ready for bed during one of her few appearances since her post-rehab debut at the 2016 American Music Awards appearance last month.

“Selena Gomez looked ready for bed when she was spotted out in Santa Monica on Friday in what looked like a pair of silky purple pajamas,” the Daily Mail revealed to readers on December 3.

“The 24-year-old singer-actress wore the two-piece outfit under a long black coat that gaped open as she walked.”

Although Selena Gomez may have been wearing silk pajamas, she fancied up her look with high-heeled pumps, smoky eye shadow and red lipstick. As for her hair, her long dark locks were tied back in a low pony tail.

Also this weekend, Selena Gomez enjoyed a night out at Catch restaurant in Hollywood, California. As the Daily Mail revealed on December 3, along with several photos of the singer, Selena Gomez looked stunning as she enjoyed a meal with friends. In the photos of Selena Gomez, she was seen walking with black pants, a black shirt and a black choker as her hair rested on her shoulders.

Selena Gomez released a statement to People Magazine on August 30 in which she revealed she would be taking some time off to address struggles with anxiety, panic attacks and depression, which she claimed were the result of lupus. Months later, Us Weekly revealed Selena Gomez had checked herself into a rehab center outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

During her stint in Tennessee, Selena Gomez was spotted out and about on a couple of occasions. In addition to having dinner with her mom, Mandy Teefy, and stepdad, Brian Teefy, at a Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Alcoa, Tennessee, Selena Gomez had breakfast with her grandparents in early October.

Although Selena Gomez did not initially explain how long her career hiatus would be, she ultimately chose to return to the spotlight during last month’s 2016 American Music Awards and during the show, she was awarded with the Best Female Artist: Pop Rock award.

During and after the show, Selena Gomez, who spoke of being broken in her acceptance speech, received tons of support from celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Niall Horan.

During the show, Selena Gomez and Niall Horan shared a hug in the audience and the following day, Horan shared a post on Twitter about her “brave” appearance.

“Just watching the show back from last night. Really great show. Loved it. Love to [Selena Gomez] for the speech, brave young woman.”

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan were linked to one another at the end of last year and on Wednesday, during an appearance on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Horan spoke of the possibility of rekindling his romance with the singer.

After host Ryan Seacrest suggested Horan rekindle his romance with Selena Gomez, Horan encouraged him to “sort it out.”

Days later, Selena Gomez’s name came up again during an interview and Horan acknowledged that the singer was “beautiful.” However, when it comes to their potential reunion, Selena Gomez may not be on board.

“[Selena Gomez] is flattered by what Niall had to say to Ryan, but part of her recovery involves no serious relationships,” a source told Hollywood Life in response to Horan’s comments. “In fact, for the time being she’s been advised not to date. Plus, dating is pretty much the last thing on her mind now. She is focused on herself and spending time with close friends.”
