A couple days ago, it was revealed that Megyn Kelly was looking to move from Fox News to CNN. Variety was one of the sources that speculated on Kelly's move.
"Megyn Kelly has long delivered the news. Now, as her contract talks with Fox News continue, she will be forced to make a major decision about where she ought to be doing it. The popular anchor, whose 'Kelly File' on Fox News snared 754,000 viewers between 25 and 54 in November, a new high, is entertaining offers from a handful of rival outlets, according to people familiar with the matter."The article adds that most of the talks are very preliminary in nature, and none are guaranteed to become realities. Kelly is allegedly concerned about her three young children and wants what is best for her family. The commenters after the article overwhelmingly want her to leave Fox News.
"Go straight to MSNBC and never look back Megyn, that's where you belong. What a beautiful day that will be!" says Maggie Pascal.
"She's a bleeding heart liberal and would fit right in on the Clinton news network. Just check her Amazon book reviews to see how much she won't be missed on Fox," claims Torchwood.
However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Kelly says the news and speculation just isn't true.
"In a tweet Friday night, Kelly indicated that nothing had changed for her, and that the only person who knows the truth is her. 'Many reporters are writing articles about me and my future at Fox,' she wrote. 'Don't believe a thing u hear unless it comes from me, period.'"The article adds that Kelly's contract is up this summer. She currently makes about $15 million a year, and an annual salary north of $20 million would rival that of Fox News' top-paid star, Bill O'Reilly. The commenters after this article were pretty mean towards Kelly as well.
"Fox News should just fire her. She's been spitting in their face for a while. Force her hand by setting all of articles out on the curb. I've had to fire plenty of disgruntled employees," says Lacy.
"I can't stand this woman. She is so fake and Fox News can do without her," says Migliore29.
Many on Twitter want Kelly to leave her current network as well.Whether or not Fox News viewers are happy about Megyn Kelly's rumored exit from the channel may not matter much to Kelly -- at least professionally. As the Inquisitr reported last Sunday, Mrs. Kelly averaged 3.37 million viewers a night the week before. Her overall ratings have fallen behind Bill O'Reilly more than they did last year, but she's still doing fantastic. Any network that picks her up will certainly be lucky.
Kelly still remains a target for Trump supporters. As the Los Angeles Times reported, they are trying to undermine her new book, Settle for More.
"Supporters of President-elect Donald Trump are using online retailer Amazon to attack Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly through harsh reviews of her new book. More than 100 negative one-star reviews appeared on the Amazon page selling Kelly's memoir Settle for More within hours of its Tuesday release."The article added that many of these comments came through a link on a pro-Trump Reddit forum. The forum has absolutely no official association with Mr. Trump. However, one can bet that -- like usual -- Megyn Kelly is laughing all the way to the bank.
