Why Lisa Vanderpump Didn’t Want To Return To ‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ For Season 7

Despite being a staple on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump almost called it quits last year. Why didn’t Vanderpump want to return to Bravo’s hit reality show for Season 7?

According to the Daily Mail, the drama of last season almost proved too hard to handle for the RHOBH veteran. With the Season 7 premiere right around the corner, Vanderpump admitted that she was hesitant to re-join the show for another drama-filled year.

“I felt badly beaten up. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to come back for the seventh season,” she explained. “I had a lot of discussions [with production] because I felt badly beaten up last season. A couple of the other women [not named] just didn’t stop – they were relentless. I felt it wasn’t a good season and not a place I wanted to go back to.”

Vanderpump has been an integral part of the show since its premiere in 2010. Along with her husband, Ken Todd, Vanderpump now stars in her own reality show, Vanderpump Rules. The series centers on Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR, located in Hollywood.

The RHOBH star was also part of Dancing with the Stars in 2013. Vanderpump will join Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Eileen Davidson, Lisa Rinna, Eden Sassoon, and Dorit Kemsley in Season 7.

Blasting News reports that Lisa Vanderpump is good friends with Kemsley. This may be one reason why she decided to return to the show, although she has not commented on the status of their relationship. Either way, Vanderpump can only hope that things start looking up this season. If not, there’s a good chance she’ll be out the door.

Meanwhile, Reality Tea is reporting that Bravo just released the first trailer for Season 7. For those who thought last year was a disappointment, the trailer offers a promising look at what’s ahead.

For starters, fans can rest assured there won’t be any more long discussions about Yolanda Hadid’s health. Talks of Munchausen dominated the drama last season, but with Hadid no longer a part of the show, fans can look forward to leaving that topic behind.

Furthermore, this season will feature a lot more from Girardi, who offered quite a few zingers in the trailer. At one point, newcomer Kemsley is shown telling her co-stars, “Americans need to take a deep breath.”

Girardi then fired back, “You’re an American. You’re born in Connecticut!”

Speaking of the newcomers, Kemsley and Sassoon are expected to bring plenty of drama. In addition to Kemsley’s feud with Girardi, fans will watch Richards battle Sassoon throughout the season.

At the same time, Camille Grammer will make a cameo this season. She’s not a full timer yet, but her appearance will likely generate a good amount of discussion with the rest of the cast members.

Unfortunately, it also looks like Vanderpump will butt heads with Davidson once again. After standing up to Vanderpump last year, Davidson isn’t about to give up any ground as their feud continues to grow.

According to People, another source of drama will be Rinna’s epic fight with Richards. The trailer teases that Richards and Rinna have not moved past their drama despite the promises that Season 7 would be a “new chapter.”

“I never said anything about your husband!” Richards tells Rinna in the clip, referring to drama back in Season 5.

“Yes you did – are you kidding me?” Rinna answered. “Let’s talk about your arrest.”

“If you f**k with me, I will be a b***h,” Richards’ sister, Kim interjects.

Fans can watch Lisa Vanderpump and the rest of the cast in action when Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres Tuesday night on Bravo.
