Sofia Richie, one of the rumored girlfriends of Justin Bieber, recently stepped out with a mystery man in Los Angeles.
As rumors continue to swirl in regard to Justin Bieber’s alleged reunion with Hailey Baldwin at a Beverly Hills hotel, which was reported by Hollywood Life earlier this week, Sofia Richie has turned up with an unidentified man at Mauro’s Cafe at Fred Segal in West Hollywood, California.
In photos of Sofia Richie and her male companion shared by the Daily Mail on November 30, they were seen hugging before Richie left the restaurant in a black Balenciaga bomber jacket, black crop top, and orange boots.
As the outlet revealed, Fred Segal is one of Sofia Richie’s favorite hangouts in Los Angeles. In fact, Sofia Richie was spotted at the venue earlier this week with actress Nicole Peltz, who was linked to Justin Bieber in May of this year and spent time with the singer in Canada. Although Richie and Peltz were linked to the same man just months apart, Just Jared claimed last week that the women have been spending quite a lot of time together in recent weeks.
Sofia Richie and Justin Bieber were first spotted together in early August while out with friends in Laguna Beach, California. Then, the alleged couple traveled to Japan, where they shared a couple of photos of one another online.
As fans of Justin Bieber will recall, his photos of Sofia Richie on Instagram garnered tons of backlash and ultimately resulted in his decision to quit Instagram altogether. After posting the photos, the 22-year-old singer was called out by Selena Gomez, who felt his relationship should be kept private. In turn, Bieber slammed Gomez for using him for attention and deleted his account.
While Sofia Richie, 18, continued to enjoy the singer’s company for several weeks and traveled with him to Mexico to celebrate her birthday in late August, things between them were apparently over by September.
“They were never officially together, but more casual hanging out and having fun,” a source explained to E! News as Bieber left Los Angeles and headed to Europe to continue his Purpose World Tour.
According to the E! News report, things between Sofia Richie and the singer were “super-hot and heavy,” but because he didn’t want to be in a relationship as he prepared for the European leg of his tour, he wanted to cool things off.
“It wasn’t an intentional cool-off… [It] just sort of happened on its own,” the source noted.
“They are still friends though and will continue to see each other like they did before they were dating. They are taking a backseat though on the romance side of things and just focusing on being friends at this time.”
Sofia Richie is the daughter of famed musician Lionel Richie and the younger sister of socialite and designer Nicole Richie, who was thrust into the spotlight years ago after starring along her former BFF, Paris Hilton, in The Simple Life.
In a new interview, Sofia Richie admitted that she often feared she would be forever stuck in the shadows of her famous family members.
“Yeah, I mean I went through it for a really long time, just feeling really in their shadow, but I grew out of it,” Sofia Richie explained to Galore magazine, via Celebuzz. “I tried to separate myself as much as possible, figure out what I liked to do and how to get it done my own way instead of having them consistently helping me out. It’s a work in progress, but I’m trying.”
