Will Selena Gomez Soon Have A New Boyfriend? Niall Horan Is Interested, And So Is Elizabeth Hurley’s Son

Selena Gomez is a hot commodity these days.

Aside from her impressive years-long career, Selena Gomez has frequently found herself in the news for her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber. Now, however, the 24-year-old actress and singer is making headlines due to a couple of new suitors.

After DJ Zedd, whom Selena Gomez was linked to in 2015, liked her latest Instagram post, her other rumored flame, Niall Horan, and the son of Elizabeth Hurley, Damian Hurley, revealed they are both interested in Gomez.

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” Horan explained to host Ryan Seacrest during a November 30 appearance on On Air With Ryan Secrest, via E! News.

“You should rekindle with [Selena Gomez]. I like her,” Seacrest responded.

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan were reportedly involved in a short-lived relationship at the end of 2015, and when it came to their possible reunion, Horan encouraged Seacrest to “sort it out!”

A short time later, Elizabeth Hurley’s actor son, Damian, revealed Selena Gomez was one of his three celebrity crushes. As the Daily Mail revealed on December 1, Damian, who recently appeared alongside his actress mother in her E! Network TV show The Royals, also named Blake Lively and Kaia Gerber.

“We’ve gone through stages where he’s had crushes on all sorts,” Elizabeth Hurley explained during an interview with E! News. “He had a Selena Gomez crush, which went on for a very long time.”

“It’s still going on now!” Damian noted.

Damian Hurley may have a years-long crush on Selena Gomez that is currently going strong, but at just 14 years old, he’s a decade younger than Gomez and their potential romance certainly wouldn’t be age appropriate — at least not for another four years.

As for Selena Gomez’s possible reunion with Niall Horan, fans will have to wait and see if the alleged exes ultimately get back together. That said, they did recently come face to face at the 2016 American Music Awards, where Horan was seen giving a hug to Gomez after she was awarded with the title of Best Female Artist: Pop/Rock.

Although Selena Gomez and Niall Horan’s face-to-face encounter ended at that point, Horan gave Gomez a shoutout on Twitter the day after the show took place. His message read, “Just watching the show back from last night. Really great show. Loved it. Love to Selena for the speech, brave young woman.”

Selena Gomez may be wanted by at least a couple of men at the moment, but it is hard to say for sure whether or not she is currently open to the idea of a new boyfriend. After all, she announced she was taking some time off from her hectic career just months ago.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez explained in her August statement to People Magazine. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” she explained. “Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”

While Selena Gomez didn’t say how much time she would be taking off, People Magazine claimed her break would last for one year.
