‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3 Start Date And Spoilers: ‘Innocence Gets Torn Away’

Fans have been anxiously clambering to discover just when the Season 3 start date of Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul will be, but details are in short supply now. It has been rumored that AMC has slated February, 2017, as the date for the premiere of the third season of Better Call Saul, but until AMC gives fans an official date, this is only conjecture at this time.

AMC has, however, kindly gifted fans with first-look photos from Season 3 of Better Call Saul. We can catch a glimpse into Jimmy’s “shaky relationships with both Chuck and Kim,” and another plus is that it appears that we will also be seeing Saul’s Gene persona, from back when his life was far less complicated and he donned the hat of a simple manager at Cinnabon. Peter Gould discusses that this will be a feature of Season 3.

“We’re fascinated by that black and white world that Jimmy/Saul moves into when he becomes Gene the Cinnabon manager.”

The first photo we can see from future dates of Season 3 episodes of Better Call Saul captures Bob Odenkirk seated beside Vince Gilligan. Saul is dressed in his familiar turquoise shirt and holds a book in one hand and a sandwich in the other. With a lunchbag on his lap, he is clearly living the life of a Cinnabon manager in this shot. In yet another Gene shot, Gilligan and others stand around Odenkirk, who is seen inside of a mall, while a makeup artist touches up his face.

Will Better Call Saul feature the dazzling display of manager Gene as a sort of precursor to his Saul persona? This happened in previous seasons and appears to make the most sense, despite rumors swirling around the internet that this new season will revolve almost entirely around his younger years.

To dispute that Season 3 will only be a Cinnabon Gene show, we have another sneak preview photo that shows Saul sharing a room with Chuck McGill. Saul is once again holding a book, while Chuck is perched upon a ladder. You can see them both in Chuck’s home, and since there are some rays of light shining from an uncovered window in one of the few unfoiled bits of the room, you may wonder whether Chuck is having a really great foiling session, again as his home is meant to be totally dark, with no toxic effects from the sun spilling into it.

Yet another Better Call Saul Season 3 photograph shows Saul in the middle of what appears to be a deeply complex conversation with attorney and girlfriend Kim Wexler. Are they in the new office they have created here?

In an interview with Digital Trends, Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan have said that they will be bringing back some big characters from Breaking Bad and putting them in Season 3 of Better Call Saul, which excitingly will include Gus Fring, the big drug kingpin.

Will Bryan Cranston be directing any episodes of Season 3 or future seasons? Vince Gilligan states that he would be wildly pleased if Cranston would.

“We would love to have Bryan direct, and I think he’d love to direct one. He wants to. It’s just a matter of fitting it into his schedule. Now that James Brown has passed on, Bryan Cranston is the hardest working man in show business. He visited the set recently, which was wonderful. I was directing the first couple of episodes of season three, and within the last few weeks, Bryan came to Albuquerque and visited the set. It was like old home week. It was the first time Bryan had been in Albuquerque in 3½ years since Breaking Bad ended.”

If you find that you absolutely cannot live without being the first to know about Saul’s latest adventures, you can always sign up with AMC for their updates and exclusives, which will pretty much guarantee that you will be amongst the very first to discover when the exact Season 3 date for the premiere of Better Call Saul will be.
