‘The Walking Dead’ Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Talks Season 8, Gets Sexual Mail From Fans

The Walking Dead has made seasoned TV star Jeffrey Dean Morgan a bit of an unexpected sex symbol in the hit AMC series since the beginning of Season 7 on the show. Now that Morgan has been such a big hit on The Walking Dead, there are several other unintended options that go along with the gig, which includes job security and sexual mail from obsessed fans.

Of course, many stars on TV and film have been well adapted to the possibility that their fame will afford them sexual advances in many shapes. But The Walking Dead is a whole new level of fame for someone like Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Not only is it a big hit for AMC, but it is the biggest show on television that explores a post-apocalyptic world where anything is possible.

Such a lawless world on The Walking Dead and the appearance of Jeffrey Dean Morgan in one of the most coveted roles in the series means that the actor will certainly have fame and fortune for many years to come, cementing his name in the hall of fame for TV and a legacy that is destined to stand the test of time.

When Jeffrey Dean Morgan sat down with Howard Stern to talk about his life outside of The Walking Dead, as well as life on the set, fans get a fascinating glimpse into the private life of the star that many have never seen.

When speaking about tormenting co-star Andrew Lincoln on the set of The Walking Dead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan gave a new account as to why he does it.

“I really pick on him,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan said.

“I think the bigger reaction I can get off camera from him, if I can get him just screaming and swearing then I know I’m doing my job.”

From Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s account, Andrew Lincoln is a method actor when he is working his role of Rick Grimes on the set of The Walking Dead. Since Lincoln is British, it appears awkward that he still speaks in his American “Rick Grimes” accent between takes on the show and that is where Morgan really likes to get under his skin.

Morgan also confirmed that he did kill scenes with all of the actors on The Walking Dead that were present on the Season 7 premiere.

“I did kill shots on the entire cast,” Morgan said.

“I think the plan was, they would leak some stuff beforehand just to throw people off because there are people whose sole purpose is to ruin the show, to spoil what’s going to happen on the show.”

Jeffrey Dean Morgan then confirmed that he has signed on for the next season of The Walking Dead and that the next two episodes, which will lead up to the mid-season finale, he will have some major screen time.

But one of the juiciest bits of information that Jeffrey Dean Morgan described about his life following the debut role he plays on The Walking Dead is the fandom and how they react sexually to him in real life.

“It’s mostly women who I get really weird fan mail from,” Morgan said, elaborating on the sexual fantasies that fans have sent him in the mail.

“Like, they just want to be, I don’t know, gagged and tied up and beat on a little bit.”

Morgan also talked about how men would “size him up,” or see if they could take him in a fight when he sees them in public.

The Walking Dead return for the last of two episodes before the mid-season break on AMC this Sunday.
