Mariah Carey In Romance With Back-Up Dancer, Two Months After Splitting Up With Billionaire Fiance

Mariah Carey has finally confirmed her romance with dancer Bryan Tanaka, the Daily Mail is reporting.

The 46-year-old superstar was spotted with the 33-year-old choreographer at a beach in Maui, Hawaii, on Monday. The apparent love birds could not keep their hands off each other. At a point, Bryan wrapped Mariah’s legs around his body and kissed her. He also carried her in his arms into the water, before she opted for a piggy back.

An eyewitness who saw the singer and dancer getting cozy and comfortable revealed that Carey was in a great mood and really enjoying Bryan’s company at the beach.

“Carey was in a great mood laughing and giggling most of the time. They were having fun, play fighting, kidding around and being very affectionate. They were on the beach until it became pretty dark. They really enjoyed the sunset.”

The budding pair was also seen holding hands and walking on the water’s edge. Even on the beach, Mariah lived up to her diva potential, wearing a Louis Vuitton sarong and designer sunglasses. The “We Belong Together” singer was sporting makeup and plenty of jewelry on the beach too. At a point she suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she was splashing around in the water.

Bryan, who has been dancing for Mariah for more than a decade, had joined the songstress at the Grand Wailea Resort after a string of concerts in Honolulu. Before the pair spent time at the beach, the “Heartbreaker” singer had spent Thanksgiving with her ex-husband and 5-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

The diva had been dating Australian billionaire James Packer. After a whirlwind romance, they announced their engagement in January, but broke up in October. According to TMZ, one of the reasons for the breakup was Bryan Tanaka.

Packer, who is reportedly worth $3.5 billion, had grown jealous of Mariah’s closeness to her choreographer and dancer. In June, tensions boiled over when Packer allegedly confronted Bryan at Mariah’s show and used his casino ties to get the 33-year-old banned from Caesars Palace, a place that Carey always performs.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the diva’s parenting style was what drove a wedge between Packer and his fiance. A source claims that the billionaire found Carey’s children to be pampered compared to his kids. The source said the engaged couple clashed repeatedly over how she preferred to raise her twins.

“He just couldn’t handle her kids—they were pretty bratty compared to his three with Erica, who’s a fantastic mum.”

After the couple broke up, their unsigned prenup came to light. The document, which was prepared by Robert Rankin, an associate of the Australian businessman, leaked on the internet. The draft revealed that the billionaire was willing to pay Carey $6 million for every year they remained married and $30 million if they broke up.

“James will pay Mariah, and Mariah shall accept, $6 million dollars per year for each full year of marriage, up to a maximum of $30 million…adjusted pro-rata on a weekly basis [$151,385]”

The prenup also revealed that Mariah would return all gifts given to her once the marriage ended, unless stated otherwise. The songstress is reportedly still wearing the $10 million engagement ring given to her by Packer, and sources say he will allow her keep it. The sources also said Mariah expected her billionaire ex to cover the remaining lease of their formerly shared Calabasas home in California as well as fund her next move.

Ever since her split from Packer, Mariah Carey had been spotted with the 33-year-old dancer. Both had always insisted that they were friends. Tanaka started dancing for Carey over a decade ago on the Adventures With Mimi Tour. Even though Bryan is hugging the headlines because he was dating a diva, he has shared the stage with a number of artists, including Beyonce, Nelly Furtado, and Rihanna.
