‘The View’ Hosts Feud: Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg Getting Along Fine Despite Rumors?

The View hosts have been known to feud from time to time, but it appears that recent talks of a rift between Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are false once again.

After several reports of the View hosts being at each other’s throats emerged in October, the gossip has quieted down in the media.

Things appear to be going well between Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar these days. In fact, Behar was reportedly one of Whoopi Goldberg’s guests at her recent birthday celebration, according to Page Six.

This is not the first time that Goldberg, 61, and Behar, 74, have been pitted against each other in rumors about the View hosts and their alleged feud. Last year, Goldberg was said to have been unhappy when Behar was rehired to co-host The View. However, both women have slammed these rumors as being untrue.

View co-host Jedediah Bila has also dismissed talks that there have been disputes among the hosts of the show.

“It’s all about respect,” she told TV Insider. “We’re faking nothing. I would happily hang out with any of these women after work. Sara has become like a sister to me. Whoopi still has me start struck, and even when we disagree she embraces me. Joy is one of the funniest people I know. I love all of them. Every single one. The people in Congress may not have respect for one another, but you sure see it on The View. The show is a safe place to grow and blossom, regardless of your opinions.”

The recent reports about the View hosts’ feud were centered on an insider’s revelation that Behar has her eyes set on Goldberg’s moderator role when the latter leaves the show at the end of the season.

According to Radar Online, Behar, 74, has hinted at the possibility of leaving The View if she is not made the ringleader of the show next season.

“Joy’s had to work under Whoopi’s thumb for years – it’s grated on her. She believes this is her time to shine.”

The insider, however, noted that this alleged feud could “spell the end of the line” for both women, as the producers of the show are considering bringing in new panelists.

Whoopi Goldberg has been a co-host on The View since 2007. However, Behar is the longest-running panelist on The View and was one of the show’s original co-hosts.

In 2013, Behar left the show to focus on her other interests, which included playwriting and stand-up comedy. She returned to The View as a regular host two years later.

On the heels of these rumors about the View hosts’ feud, some viewers are calling for ABC to fire Whoopi Goldberg over her response to President-elect Trump’s controversial tweet that Americans who burn the national flag should be jailed or have their citizenship revoked.

On Tuesday, the women all agreed with the fact that Trump’s statement was a violation of the First Amendment. Whoopi, who repeatedly corrected co-host Paula Faris against saying that people who burn the flag hate the country, elaborated further on her position.

“The flag does not always represent all of its people. All of its people were not taken care of under our flag. People are angry. The sometimes get angry and they burn the flag. Sometimes they burn the neighborhood, you know.”

Goldberg’s statement did not sit well with many people online, who have called for her to her to be fired from the talk show.

What do you think of the rumors of the View hosts’ feud? Would Joy Behar do a good job as the moderator of the talk show if and when Whoopi Goldberg leaves?
