Jennifer Aniston Debuts On Snapchat Thanks To Push By Ellen DeGeneres

Jennifer Aniston has made her Instagram Debut after holding out for so long and it is all thanks to Ellen DeGeneres.

Jennifer has been holding out on joining Snapchat for so long but she finally caved in due to peer pressure from Ellen DeGeneres. The 47-year-old actress is not a big fan of social media but she surprised her fans with a Snapchat post before she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Aniston took over the Instagram account of her beauty company Living Proof in 2015 but later told People that her social media experience was not the best.

“I was so stressed out, sweating bullets. It was too much pressure. For these Kardashians, it’s a career!” Aniston revealed.

Aniston’s Snapchat debut is a pleasant surprise to her fans because she has been shying off from social media. She posted her first selfie on the social platform featuring a duck face right before she got on stage with Ellen. It also turns out that that social media is not the only reason the Friends actress also explained that she was concerned about how social media affects children.

“Kids aren’t speaking to each other anymore. I was with friends of ours from Vermont and their two kids don’t have an iPhone or an iPad. They were nine and 12 and were the most interesting young adults. Seeing other kids on their [phones] all the time, it makes me sad,” the actress explained.

Unfortunately, her fans do not get to see her on social media or even have social media interactions with her as much as they would like due to the fact that she is not so interested in social media. However, her debut on Snapchat created a glimmer of hope but it does not look like she will be posting regularly on the social platform. It might be unfortunate for fans but luckily she will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her upcoming film, Office Christmas Party, which will be released in theaters on December 9. Ellen will hopefully get Aniston to post more content on her Snapchat.

Ellen has been one of the most influential people in showbiz and despite being a comedian, she has interviewed high-profile individuals such as the president. Getting Aniston to jump on board the Snapchat train was thus not that difficult. Aniston’s duck face has also led to a bit of chatter especially on how celebrities claim to be against various topics and then end up dipping their feet right in there. In Aniston’s case, she claimed that she did not like social media and its impact yet she happily posted on Snapchat. In her defense, it was part of the show.

The 47-year-old actress clearly prefers the old fashioned way of communicating and feels that social media tends to make people less interesting. Aniston has a valid point because young people tend to prefer social media to good old-fashioned communications. Nowadays things like family gatherings no longer hold that aspect of bringing families together socially because people often end up glued to their devices, be it for social media or digital games on their phones and tablets.

Aniston’s appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show is part of Ellen’s new initiative called “12 Days of Giveaways” and it will also feature other guests including Derek Hough. Aniston’s acting career kicked into high gear while she was on Friends. She has received many roles since then, managing to rack up quite an impressive CV. One other noticeable thing about her is her beauty and amazing youthful look. Those who did not get to see Aniston’s Snapchat can catch up on YouTube.
