Christmas TV Schedule 2016 Times And Dates: How to Watch ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ ‘Frosty the Snowman,’ ‘ELF,’ And More This Holiday Season

The Christmas TV schedule for 2016 has been released. Christmas is one of, if not the most popular holiday celebrated all across the world, especially for children as the memories they will make with family and friends is invaluable.

While nothing will top opening the gifts that were left by Santa Claus himself on Christmas Eve, a lot more memories also come from sitting by the Christmas tree or fireplace with family and friends watching some of the great Christmas classics that have been on TV for decades.

It’s amazing how some timeless classics that have been out for decades like Frosty the Snowman, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer just never seem to fade away. In fact, they seem to come back stronger and more popular as the years go by.

According to an AOL.com report, all of the old favorite Christmas classics along with many new programs will air once again periodically during the month of December on different stations across the dial.

From ABC, CBS, NBC, Turner Classic Movies, to Freeform, (the channel formerly known as ABC Family) the upcoming holiday season will once again be full of Christmas programming all month long.

Leading off the schedule on December 1 is A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Chuck and the gang once again return to their yearly hijinks as they try to discover the real meaning of Christmas. The loveable Peanuts characters have been entertaining children and adults since the 1950’s and are still as popular today as they were back then.

A Charlie Brown Christmas will air tomorrow night, December 1 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Another must see for kids is Frosty the Snowman.

Narrated by Jimmy Durante, Frosty The Snowman was an instant success from its first airing on CBS back in December of 1969. Since then, Frosty has been warming the hearts of children since he first came to life all those years ago, and he will continue to do so once again this holiday season.

Frosty the Snowman will air on December 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Now, if you need wall-to-wall Christmas shows from now until December 25, the Freeform channel has you covered. Once again Freeform will carry on the tradition ABC family started 20 years ago by running the ’25 days of Christmas’ specials. All of the holiday cheer will officially begin on December 1st and wrap up on Christmas Day as freeform transforms into the annual countdown to Christmas mode.

No matter how busy the holiday season gets, remember that this is the time of year to go that extra mile and spend some special time with family and friends. Now get to popping that popcorn, turn on those Christmas lights and spend some time with the family watching a Christmas classic or two!
