Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Divorce And Custody Update: He Remains Estranged From Kids But Won’t Battle Over Net Worth?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been split up for over two months and still, they don’t appear to have made much progress when it comes to a custody agreement for their kids.

After Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 21, a report suggested that while they had a clear prenuptial agreement, their future plan for their kids was allegedly not established.

In Angelina Jolie’s filing, the 41-year-old actress requested full physical custody of her and Pitt’s six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, eight. As TMZ reported at the time, sources connected to the couple reportedly claimed Angelina Jolie’s decision to end her marriage allegedly came after disputes over the way Pitt was parenting their kids. As the report explained, she was reportedly upset with his methods.

“[Angelina Jolie] became ‘fed up’ with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is ‘an anger problem’… felt it became dangerous for the children,” the outlet alleged.

Days later, a second report shared by TMZ claimed Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s prenup was clear and suggested that they would not be facing any major financial issues because they were only married for two years.

As the outlet explained, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are worth a reported $400 million and allegedly own a total of 12 properties, seven of which belong to Pitt and two of which belong to Jolie. The other three, including their homes in France, New Orleans, and New York City, were purchased before Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s August 2014 wedding. Although it is unknown who paid what for each of the homes, their agreement reportedly makes the division of their properties quite easy, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, as the outlet explained, their future custody dispute over their kids will reportedly be “where the war really plays out,” and the war may have already begun.

According to a recent report, Angelina Jolie is allegedly keeping her children from seeing their father and recently went back on a reported decision to allow Pitt to see the kids on Thanksgiving.

“Brad came back from Turks & Caicos on Saturday because [Angelina Jolie]’s team had assured him that he would see the kids,” a source told In Touch Weekly magazine on November 28.

“He got back late Saturday afternoon and called to arrange the drop-off. He was told there would be no visit because [Angelina Jolie] had changed her mind. Brad was very angry and disappointed. [He] wanted to have a belated gathering at his house on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.”

“[Angelina Jolie] is still fighting Brad for sole custody,” the insider continued, “and it’s going to get even more brutal.”

In other Angelina Jolie news, the actress is reportedly struggling to keep her children happy as they allegedly remain estranged from their father.

“The kids are so depressed and [Angelina Jolie] is scrambling to do anything and everything to cheer them up,” a source told Hollywood Life earlier this month. “Her first tactic was showing them as much love as possible — more hugs, more compliments, more affection, letting them sleep in her bed and stay up late, but that was not getting her anywhere.”

“Now she’s resorting to gifts. Anything they want, they get it. Zahara, 11, loves to shop so Angie had her go to her favorite online stores and get whatever she wanted. The twins (Knox and Vivienne, both eight) got a toy shopping spree. The boys (Maddox, 15, and Pax, 12) get gadgets, and electronics, and Shiloh, 10, wants a puppy! Angie is still holding out on that one!”

While Angelina Jolie allegedly wants full physical custody of their kids, Pitt has reportedly requested joint in his response documents.
