Selena Gomez Is Not Making New Music With Lady Gaga, Refuses To Comment On Kanye West’s Hospitalization [Debunked]

Selena Gomez isn’t preparing to release a new song with Lady Gaga as a previous report claimed.

Although Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga appeared to share a couple of special moments during the 2016 American Music Awards, a new report has shot down a claim made by Hollywood Life earlier this week.

“[Selena Gomez] and Lady Gaga really bonded at the American Music Awards. Lady Gaga was so moved by Selena’s speech, that they have kept in touch ever since. They have spoken about collaborating on a song dedicated to empowering and inspiring young people worldwide,” an alleged insider incorrectly revealed to Hollywood Life on November 28.

“They have actually become quite close in a rather short period of time,” the source continued. “[Selena Gomez] is only surrounding herself with super positive and healthy people, and the same goes for Gaga. They really want to create something epic together.”

However, one day later, on November 29, a Gossip Cop confirmed the report about Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga’s allegedly upcoming collaboration track was not true.

While Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga may not be making music together, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t friends. In fact, as Gomez shared an emotional speech about being “broken” while accepting the Best Female Artist: Pop Rock award at last Sunday’s show, Lady Gaga was seen crying. Then, later that night, the two women posed for a photo together which Lady Gaga shared on her Instagram page.

“So dope I got to hang with with the biggest rockstar of the night. (Ya,know besides Sting and Green Day) …the girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world,” she wrote in the caption of the photo of herself and Selena Gomez.

In other Selena Gomez news, the singer recently touched down at LAX, where she was promptly asked about the recent hospitalization of Kanye West. Last week, before the Thanksgiving holiday, West was suddenly hospitalized in Los Angeles after an alleged mental breakdown and ever since, doctors have been attempting to nurse him back to health.

On November 29, X17 Online shared a video and photo of Selena Gomez making her way through the airport, but when she was asked if she had any advice to give to West, she stayed completely silent.

Selena Gomez announced she would be ending her Revival World Tour and taking some time off to address her mental health issues, including anxiety, panic attacks and depression, in a statement to People Magazine on August 30.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” the 24-year-old said in a statement. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

Selena Gomez’s statement came about 2 weeks after she performed a show in Auckland, New Zealand and feuded with her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber, on Instagram after a photo of his then-girlfriend, Sofia Richie, was shared.

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” Selena Gomez continued. “Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.”
