After the final pieces for WWE TLC 2016 were put into place on SmackDown Live this week, the Cruiserweight Division from Monday Night Raw was on display as 205 Live debuted on the WWE Network. American Alpha battled The Wyatt Family, as Jason Jordan and Chad Gable went up against Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt to see who would earn the right to go on to Tables, Ladders, and Chairs on Sunday to face Heath Slater and Rhyno for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Then, immediately following SmackDown, the red brand Cruiserweights were showcased in the debut of 205 Live, a supplement to Monday Night Raw airing exclusively on the WWE Network. The Brian Kendrick put up the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Rich Swann, who had already defeated him on multiple occasions in recent weeks.
WWE SmackDown Live Results
The following includes the results of all the matches and segments from SmackDown Live, 205 Live, and Talking Smack on November 29. This episode of SmackDown airs live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. SmackDown Live hasn’t won the ratings war with Monday Night Raw since the week the blue brand hosted the WWE Draft. With this week’s episode of SmackDown serving as the final build-up to WWE TLC 2016, will this be the first time Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan’s show defeats WWE Raw?
SmackDown Pre-Show on the WWE Network
Scott Stanford hosted the SmackDown Pre-Show, and was joined by Lita, Booker T, and Jerry “The King” Lawler in the studio. While Cathy Kelley provides a social media update during the Raw Pre-Show, she gave a preview of 205 Live on the SmackDown Live Pre-Show.
Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss signed their WWE TLC contract
Predictably, the contract signing between SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and No. 1 contender Alexa Bliss got violent quickly, with a table getting thrown into the mix. As was confirmed on Talking Smack, their match at WWE TLC will now be a Tables Match.
Dolph Ziggler and Kalisto defeated Baron Corbin and The Miz by disqualification
As Kalisto had The Miz in a submission hold, Baron Corbin brought a chair into the ring and hit his TLC opponent across the back of head. He dropped the chair and walked off as the referee called for a disqualification. Dolph Ziggler was laid out thanks, in part, to Maryse and a ladder.
Dasha Fuentes interviewed American Alpha
Leading up to their match with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable were interviewed backstage by Dasha Fuentes. As they finished, The Wyatt Family cut in with a message of their own.
Carmella sent a message to John Cena — Nikki Bella attacked Carmella
After Carmella had a few choice words for John Cena about her upcoming match with Nikka Bella, the star of Total Divas and Total Bellas came to the ring to get physical with her WWE TLC opponent.
AJ Styles took out Dean Ambrose and James Ellsworth on the Ambrose Asylum
After Dean Ambrose had a few fun questions for James Ellsworth about his recent victory over AJ Styles, the WWE World Champion came to the ring. With all of the props for their upcoming Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match in the ring, Styles ended up laying out both Ambrose and Ellsworth.
Kane defeated Luke Harper
Just before his fellow Wyatt Family members stepped into the ring with American Alpha, Luke Harper was pinned cleanly by Kane. But Harper would play a key role in the main event.
The Wyatt Family defeated American Alpha
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt will advance to WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs to face Rhyno and Heath Slater for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. When it looked like Gable and Jordan had things under control, the lights went out in typical Wyatt Family style, with Luke Harper appearing and providing enough of a distraction to eventually give Orton and Wyatt the win.

The Bollywood Boyz defeated Tony Nese and Drew Gulak
Now that they are teaming up on 205 Live instead of competing individually in the CWC tournament, WWE is pushing the Bollywood Boys as faces. After their loss, Gulak mocked Bollywood, while Nese blamed their loss on a lumpy ring.
Jack Gallagher defeated Ariya Daivari
While Gallagher’s in-ring shenanigans weren’t as well-received by the SmackDown Live leftover audience members as it was by the live audience at Full Sail University, he still got the clean victory over Ariya Daivari.
Rich Swann defeated The Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
In the main event, Rich Swann became the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion after a clean victory over The Brian Kendrick. The former champion gave several excuses for his loss after the match, as Swann becomes the new face of the Cruiserweight Division.
Talking Smack on the WWE Network
Daniel Bryan was inexplicably absent this week, so Renee Young was joined by Mike Mizanin, who refused to be called “The Miz” during this show. Dolph Ziggler was the first guest on the show, as they discussed their Ladder Match scheduled for WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2016.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was the second guest on Talking Smack, there to address her title match at WWE TLC. During the interview, Renee Young announced (via text from Daniel Bryan) that this title match would officially be a Tables Match.
Finally, before Talking Smack ended, WWE World Champion AJ Styles stopped by to talk about James Ellsworth and the main event of Sunday’s PPV.
The above SmackDown Live results have been corroborated by WWE’s official SmackDown Live page.
