Taylor Swift Taking Acting Classes For Her New Channel?

Taylor Swift is reportedly taking acting classes in lieu of the news of her forthcoming 24/7 channel. It appears that fans want to know more about the singer as she continues her extended hiatus from releasing new music.

The 26-year-old singer and songwriter is taking acting classes to pursue a new career. According to Radar Online, Swift is taking two classes per month for the next six months, and she’s already been doing well at it. Swift is very expressive when she performs on stage, so maybe she wants to expand on those acting abilities.

An alleged insider told Radar Online that Swift wants to score a successful film career after having an extremely successful music career.

“She now is looking for a new career, and we know what that is. Taylor Swift is gonna start to get into movies.”

Swift is not a stranger to the film industry. She has made a few cameos in Valentine’s Day and The Giver, but she reportedly wants to become the star of a film.

“That’s right. She’s made a few movies in the past, but now she’s actually looking for a starring role. Following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is gonna be making a big feature film, ‘A Star Is Born’ and now Taylor Swift wants a little piece of that action too.”

Maybe Swift wants to learn something new like she said in her May 2016 Vogue cover story. She told the publication that she wants to learn new skills and that she has “lots of short-term goals.” On the other hand, Swift needs to brush up on her acting skills since she’s getting an entire channel to herself. Swift could release her own television show at this point and her fans would happily eat it up. The new streaming station is reportedly called Taylor Swift Now, and it’s for fans who want all things Taylor Swift, 24/7.

“Taylor Swift NOW is one of many exciting things we have in store for Taylor’s fans and our customers as part of our exclusive multi-year deal,” network CEO John Stankey announced. “We can’t wait to get Taylor Swift NOW in the hands of fans to stream everywhere.”

The channel is reported to have exclusive content with the singer, behind-the-scenes footage of her music videos and performances, and all her music videos. Swift’s channel is part of her deal with AT&T. At DirecTV Now’s unveiling on Monday, November 28, AT&T executive Brad Bentley announced their new partnership with the country singer-turned-pop star. As part of the package deal, AT&T customers will get exclusive 1989 content and footage and plenty of recorded streaming footage 24 hours of the day.

DirecTV Now, the company’s first launch into streaming services, will become available to customers on November 30, but it’s unclear when Taylor Swift Now will begin broadcasting. It’s also not clear whether the channel will be available to all AT&T customers or if it’s a special channel that’s only available to certain customers. Back in October, Swift announced that she and AT&T reached a multiyear agreement, with the singer announcing she would perform at the company’s pre-Super Bowl 51 show on Saturday, February 4 in Houston, Texas, according to Rolling Stone.

“We’re thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways,” AT&T Entertainment Group CEO John Stankey said in a statement at the time. “And we’ve thrilled attendees during the Big Game weekend for the last 11 years with A-list parties and the hottest performing music artists around, so 2017 will be our very best.”
