Selena Gomez May Have A New Song Coming Soon, But What About Her ‘Revival World Tour’?

Are Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga teaming up for a new song?

Just days after the musicians hit it off at last Sunday’s 2016 American Music Awards, a source claims Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga could soon release a new track together.

“[Selena Gomez] and Lady Gaga really bonded at the [2016 American Music Awards],” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life on November 28. “Lady Gaga was so moved by Selena’s speech, that they have kept in touch ever since. They have spoken about collaborating on a song dedicated to empowering and inspiring young people worldwide.”

During Sunday’s show, Selena Gomez’s acceptance speech for the Best Female Artist: Pop Rock award moved Lady Gaga to tears and later on that night, she shared a photo of the two of them on her Instagram page.

“They have actually become quite close in a rather short period of time,” the source continued of Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga.

“[Selena Gomez] is only surrounding herself with super positive and healthy people, and the same goes for Gaga. They really want to create something epic together.”

Prior to her appearance at last Sunday’s awards show, Selena Gomez spent time in rehab. So, now that she is getting back to her life, the Hollywood Life source claims she is reportedly doing what she can to ensure that she stays on a healthy path. That said, both she and Lady Gaga have stayed mum on any possible plans to team up for a new song.

After Selena Gomez’s speech, Lady Gaga took to Instagram where she posted a photo of the two of them together along with a caption, which read, “So dope I got to hang with with the biggest rockstar of the night. (Ya,know besides Sting and Green Day) …the girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world.”

Selena Gomez was also supported by Niall Horan of One Direction. During the show, Horan was seen giving Selena Gomez a hug and after the show, he shared a tweet in which he labeled the singer “brave.” As fans will recall, Selena Gomez and Niall Horan have been romantically linked in the past but when it comes to their current status, they appear to be just friends.

In addition to receiving support from her peers at the show, Selena Gomez garnered celebrity support on Instagram after she thanked fans for sticking by her during her recent career hiatus. As a report by Teen Vogue revealed on November 28, stars including Bella Hadid and Lily Aldridge “liked” her Instagram photo, which featured Gomez standing with her fans, and Adriana Lima left a heartfelt comment.

“I see you[r] light, I see your pure heart. I will always send positive energy. You deserve the best. You got my support,” the model wrote.

As for the future of Selena Gomez’s “Revival World Tour,” the singer hasn’t yet made any official announcements. However, according to a report days ago, she is allegedly considering getting back to her previously canceled shows.

“[Selena Gomez] is considering resuming her “Revival World Tour” after the stellar AMAs,” a source told Hollywood Life last week. “She is feeling much better and misses the connection with her fans that she gets every time she steps on stage. Selena has been discussing her next move with her family and management team who are encouraging her not want to rush back to work.”

Selena Gomez’s “Revival World Tour” kicked off in Las Vegas in May and was supposed to wrap up with a series of shows in Mexico in December. However, midway through the tour, Selena Gomez released a statement to People Magazine claiming she was in need of some time off.

Selena Gomez’s final tour show took place on August 13 in Auckland, New Zealand.
