Delta Airlines Bans Abusive Trump Supporter, Refunds Money For All Passengers

Hours after Delta Airlines issued an official apology to all the passengers who shared a flight with an abusive Trump supporter, the airline company also announced that it has permanently banned the man from boarding Delta flights in the future. Delta Airlines also added that it will refund all the passengers on board the flight the full price of their tickets.

The abusive trump supporter whose identity has not been revealed yet was seen in a viral video hurling abuses at fellow passengers and even calling some female passengers on the the plane “Hillary bi***es.”

In the video which we have also embedded below, the man can be clearly seen standing in the aisle and taunting other passengers. He shouts “Donald Trump, baby,” while clapping his hands above his head.

Then he points to a fellow passenger and says, “That’s right, this man knows what’s up.”We got some Hillary b*****s on here?”

Towards the end of the video, he is heard saying the following.

“Donald Trump is your president, every goddamn one of you. If you don’t like it, too bad.”

The incident reportedly happened aboard a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Allentown, Pennsylvania last Tuesday. The video was posted soon after the incident and has since then been viewed by millions of people across the U.S. and around the world.

Following the incident, there were complaints from passengers onboard the aircraft that no efforts were made by the crew of the plane to deplane the abusive Trump supporter. According to Emma Baum, the person who captured the now viral video, the man had started his abusive rants from the airport terminal itself. In fact, she even claimed that she had talked to the person before he started his antics inside the plane and told him that she would be recording him. The man said he was fine with she recording him and even said he hoped that the video clip goes viral.

After the incident went viral, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian sent a letter to Delta employees Monday and told them that the airline had erred and the crew should not have let the man remain on the flight. A statement issued by him in response to the incident said this.

“This individual displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers. After questioning the customer, our team members made the best decision they could given the information they had and allowed him to remain on the flight. However, if our colleagues had witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane. The heightened tension in our society means that now more than ever we must require civility on our planes and in our facilities.We must stay true to Delta’s core values and treat one another with dignity and respect. We also must remain committed more than ever to the safety of our customers and our crew members. We will not tolerate anything less.”

This is not the first time that we have heard of a similar incident onboard an aircraft. Just a few weeks ago, there was another incident on board another flight from a different airline where a political argument erupted between passengers on board the flight. Eventually, the captain had to intervene and tell passengers to cool down. During the same incident, a video was also posted online in which a man was heard making a racist comment to an African-American woman.
