Pippa Middleton and James Matthews were the center of high British society news for a while, but it looks like her in-laws have taken that spotlight. While Prince William and Harry probably does not want it on them, it looks like the attention of news outlets are inevitably on them. With Prince Harry dating Meghan Markle, that spotlight won’t go away anytime soon.
The fans of the British royal family were surprised this weekend when Prince William allegedly released a statement concerning his brother Harry’s relationship with the American actress. However, the palace quickly debunked this statement, denying any claims.
“The Duke of Cambridge absolutely understands the situation concerning privacy and supports the need for Prince Harry to support those closest to him,” Kensington Palace stated according to People Magazine.
On the other hand, Prince Harry has been quite vocal about his girlfriend, making statements to protect her privacy as much as possible.
“Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment,” the palace said in the statement, according to People Magazine.
“Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.”
But that doesn’t mean that the 35-year-old actress is putting her life on hold just because she is dating Prince Harry. This Thanksgiving weekend, she was spotted enjoying “a girls’ night out with Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra” as her boyfriend “toured the Caribbean on royal duty,” according to Us Weekly.
While news media maelstrom is happening in the royal family, Pippa Middleton is busily working to get all her wedding details sorted out before May 2017.
“She’s getting set to walk down the aisle next year so the next few months are certainly going to keep Pippa Middleton busy,” reports Daily Mail.
“And the Duchess of Cambridge’s little sister looked like she had plenty on her mind as she ran errands in her Chelsea stomping ground in London on Tuesday. Displaying her toned legs in a black and white patterned mini skirt, the 33-year-old brunette bride-to-be looked chic as she navigated the pavement.”
She also has been taking time with her fiance James Matthews so that they remind each other the reason why they are suffering through the public attention. They looked a picture of love when they took to the streets of London for a romantic midday stroll.
“It’s three months since their engagement, but the celebratory glow still hasn’t worn off for Pippa Middleton and her fiance James,” reports Daily Mail.
“The couple looked love up as they shared a joke while strolling along arm-in-arm with their dogs […] Accompanying the pair on the walk were Pippa’s cocker spaniel Rafa and James’s black labrador. It was the first time the couple have been pictured together since their engagement was revealed in August.”
Getting ready for the wedding means that Pippa also has pulled back on the races, endurance challenges, and hikes that she loves to take part in to raise money for charity. The last one of these events that she took part in was to climb Matterhorn, right before she got engaged.
“Pippa, who became engaged to financier James Matthews earlier this month, did the climb to raise money for the Michael Matthews Foundation in honor of her fiance’s brother who died while scaling Mount Everest in 1999,” reports People Magazine.
“He was 22 and was the youngest Briton ever to have scaled the peak at the time.”
Let’s hope that the sudden cutback on physical activity is not causing any withdrawals in her!
