Cyber Monday 2016: Best TV Deals Include 3D, 4K & Smart HDTV Models Online

The Cyber Monday 2016 deals are already being unveiled for the busy shopping season. Now there are Cyber Week sales going on for the coming days and many customers will continue snatching up some of the hottest items around. It’s no surprise that TV deals will be among those that shoppers will be going for, including the best 3D, 4K, 1080P, and other HDTV models as the prices seem to keep falling each season. Here’s a look at what some of the best television deals for Cyber Monday 2016.

It appears that Black Friday 2016 deals may not have been the best sales prices necessarily for televisions. As USA Today reported, there are some great TV deals going on for Cyber Weekend including specials from Amazon, B&H, and Dell. In particular, Amazon has five sets to consider as there is a 40-inch Samsung 1080p Smart TV for just $247.99, which is a savings of $70. There’s also a 55-inch Samsung 4K UHD TV with $100 Amazon gift card tossed in to sweeten the deal. It normally goes for over $1600 but is on sale for just $747.99 making a bargain of a deal on a name-brand set.

Other models include the TCL 55-inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV. This set features Roku channels built right in and goes for $499.99. While TCL isn’t a top brand like Samsung, Vizio, or Sony, there are newer brands that are certainly making waves in the television category so don’t be dissuaded from checking into the deal.

Two other deals that are highlighted include a B&H special on a Samsung 75-inch 1080p TV for just $1,497 ($1,800 savings) and a Dell deal for a Sony XBR-65X850D 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV with HDR at $1,399.99. That’s a savings of $400 on a set that is large enough to really enjoying upcoming events such as the New Year’s ball drop in Times Square or the 2017 Super Bowl.

Best Buy shoppers might also find some deals they really like right now. The website had a 48-inch Vizio LED 1080p HDTV set for just $249.99 which was normally $349.99. There’s also a VIZIO 48-inch model with Chromecast built-in to allow for streaming various media content to the screen.

Walmart will also be a part of the television competition as they try to urge shoppers to buy from their stores. Starting at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday there are some specific TV deals to look for. All Samsung HDTVs will be 50 percent off the manufacturer’s standard retail price. A Vizio 50-inch 4K Ultra HD SmartCast Smart LED TV will be just $379.99 and according to Forbes, this sales price beats any previous Black Friday deals. In addition, a 65-inch Samsung 4K Ultra HD LED Smart TV will be $999.99 for those who want the larger set.

There are always considerations to remember when shopping for your television. While a deal may look attract on its surface, investigating specifics about the set can also help aid in the buying decision. Check out the exact model number elsewhere for technical specs if necessary. For example, ask how many HDMI inputs or other inputs are required. Will the TV be fine with just two HDMI inputs, or need more than that? If the TV has built-in smart features it may not need as many inputs.

Also, while 4K is considered “top of the line” these days for picture quality, it’s not always necessary. Many television owners will be fine with a 1080p model, as 4K quality content is mostly available on YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon specific content right now. By opting for a 1080p set it could mean a drastic difference in price for a television that still delivers a great viewing experience.

Some customers may also be OK without having a “smart TV.” Instead, a simple streaming media device like a Roku, Fire TV stick, or Apple TV can be a nice add-on to enjoy the whole smart television phase going on these days. Cyber deals are available through Amazon on their Fire TV and Fire TV Stick which will allow for viewing all sorts of smart TV channels and subscription-based content services.

As mentioned, many of the Cyber Monday 2016 sales and deals are going on this weekend, with some exclusive deals starting up on Monday itself. Websites such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target will all have sales that likely extend for the week, but some of the best deals may very well pop up on this competitive Monday, November 28.

Will you be shopping online for the Cyber Monday sales, or prefer shopping in stores? What do you think the best televisions in terms of a brand are?
