Tristan Thompson is hoping to put girlfriend Khloe Kardashian's tortured mind at ease by taking her on a somewhat unorthodox vacation.
Hollywood Life reported the Cleveland Cavaliers veteran forward is planning to have Kardashian accompany him on the team's upcoming two- game road trip to Philadelphia and Milwaukee.
"Tristan knows Khloe's world is upside down especially with Kanye being in the hospital," said a source. "She's worried about his health. She's stressed thinking about how Kim's handling this. She's concerned about North and Saint. She's got so much on her plate right now and Tristan offered to take her on the road with him for a few days so that she can catch her breath."
The 25-year-old Thompson is also reported to be moved by how close Kardashian is with her family and by how supportive she's shown herself to be towards all of them.
"He can see how overwhelmed she is and how she kept checking in and calling Kim on Thanksgiving," the source added. "He loves how she loves her family and is the glue holding them together but he doesn't want her to break, so that's why he's offered to whisk her away."
Thompson is said to have spent the Thanksgiving holiday with Kardashian and word is he went out of his way to make sure she had reason to feel good throughout the day.
"Khloe's known for many things but her cooking isn't one of them, until now," said a source, noting that she prepared the entire meal for the couple. "Tristan made her year when he gobbled up everything she made."
As for the small matter of how Thompson's focused-on-nothing but defending their NBA crown teammates, especially one LeBron James, might take him bringing Kardashian on their upcoming trip remains to be seen.
Earlier this year, when there were rumblings that Thompson and Kardashian might be engaged, reports surfaced that James was none too pleased with the idea of the reality-TV star being around the team so much, especially at a time he has gone on the record with his goal of challenging Michael Jordan for the unofficial greatest of all-time mantle.
Several media outlets even reported that James and Thompson openly bickered about Kardashian being around for the team's season opener, when all the players were slated to receive their championship rings.
"Tristan isn't taking any crap from his teammates anymore," a source added back then. "As far as he's concerned, Khloe's coming to every damn game she chooses."
One of James' biggest issues is said to be his concern over the so-called "Kardashian Kurse," which many have argued particularly tends to sabotage NBA stars.
After being married to Kardashian for several years, Lamar Odom infamously saw his career flame out amid widespread reports of drug use and James Harden's Houston Rockets suffered perhaps their most disappointing season since he's been with the organization after he took up with her.
Earlier this year, Kardashian was also briefly linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., who also just so happened to experience the slowest start to a season in his three years as a pro.
"LeBron is not going to take any nonsense and if Tristan starts focusing on being on TV and being a celebrity while dating Khloe, then that is where the problems will come," said a source. "LeBron wants everyone to be ready to repeat as champs and bring another title to Cleveland."
Meanwhile, West remains hospitalized after suffering what's been described as a "psychotic attack" brought on by exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
The 39-year-old "Famous" artist has already been forced to cancel as many as 21-planned stops on his Saint Pablo world tour.
