Lil Wayne Cancels Concert, Stress Over Birdman Might Not Be The Cause

Lil Wayne is spending time relaxing this weekend instead of playing a concert in the Caribbean, and rumors are surfacing that he might be having problems with his epilepsy diagnosis.

Lil Wayne was allegedly ready to perform at SummerFall in the Caribbean at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in Willemstad on the island of Curacao, but he cancelled at the last minute. Lil Wayne posted about the concert on Instagram, and the performance also featured Rick Ross, Meek Mill, French Montana, Fat Joe, Yo Gotti, August Alsina, Jeremih, and DJ Envy.

In the meantime, Uproxx and others have suggested that Lil Wayne cancelled because of a "breach of contract," but there are also other theories being proposed.

For example, Lil Wayne may have been having seizure problems, but no official statement has been made about the real reason he cancelled in the Caribbean on November 26.

While Lil Wayne does not have seizures often, he does have an epilepsy diagnosis. Unfortunately, it is stated by the Epilepsy Foundation that a common "trigger" of seizures related to epilepsy can include sleep deprivation and low blood sugar.

In the past, Lil Wayne has stated that he has cancelled concerts because he triggered his seizures due to his epilepsy medication. For example, KETV Omaha reports on June 14 that Lil Wayne was flying over Nebraska when he had to land the plane due to seizures.

A month later, around July 11, Lil Wayne had another seizure in Las Vegas. Spin reported at that time that the reason Lil Wayne was having so many seizures was due to his doctors not finding the right combination of medications to treat his epilepsy.

On the other hand, one of the other reasons that people with epilepsy can trigger seizures is due to stress. Sadly, Lil Wayne may have more stress in his life than usual because of Birdman.

According to a November 21 report from Hip Hop Wired, Lil Wayne and Birdman are at a standstill with the negotiations over Lil Wayne leaving Cash Money Records.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lil Wayne may be owed more, but he has been suing Birdman/Cash Money Records for $51 million since January 2015.

Now, Lil Wayne is being scolded by Birdman for showing "disrespect," and because of this, Birdman is allegedly withdrawing from contract negotiations. BET reports that some of the beef from Birdman towards Lil Wayne may be related to Lil Wayne and Jay Z signing a deal for Wayne to join ROC Nation.

Despite recent setbacks at the concert in the Caribbean, Lil Wayne is not likely to quit performing any time soon. For example, Syracuse News recently reported on Lil Wayne's concert at Onondaga Community College in New York, and stated the following.

"Weezy's beats were fun, but relentless, with very few breaks to escape the deep, jaw-jangling bass. Bleachers vibrated at the other side of the massive arena. Even outside, nearly every lyric could be heard with clarity."
Lil Wayne also has other exciting news in his life. For instance, his daughter, Reginae Carter, is rumored to be on an upcoming episode of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, according to All Hip Hop.

The rumor about Lil Wayne's daughter and her acting career was triggered by an Instagram post, and BET claims they have their own unnamed sources that say the rumor is true.

Although Reginae Carter's acting career is still in the gossip stage, Lil Wayne's kids might be more of a focus in the near future. State of Hip Hop posted a picture of him with his sons at a basketball game, and there are more pictures of Lil Wayne and his kids than usual.

For instance, Lil Wayne also posted a picture of one of his sons in October with a guitar. Lil Wayne captioned the photo with "music runs in the blood."

Along with playing music and taking his kids to basketball games, Lil Wayne might also be watching important documentaries with his children. For example, one of the most recent posts from Lil Wayne on Instagram was for Leonardo DiCaprio's Before the Flood.
