Little Mix Gets A First Number One As Glory Days Tour Begins

Little Mix is currently on a mini-tour and surrounded by fans just as they get the ultimate success with their fourth album, Glory Days.

According to a November 25 report from Official Charts, Little Mix’s Glory Days grabbed the top spot for first-week sales for a U.K. all-female band with 96,000 in sales.

This chart-topping accomplishment brings Little Mix into the same category as the Spice Girls and their album, Spice World. In 1997, Spice Girls sold 192,000 albums the first week, and their 1998 movie, Spice World, netted over $70 million worldwide, according to Metacritic.

When Little Mix got the news they were in the same league as the Spice Girls, they were on the road and performing for fans. Around November 11, Little Mix announced they would be going on a road trip, and fans informally called it the Glory Days Tour.

Starting with Amsterdam on November 23, Little Mix has already visited Zurich, Switzerland, Milan, Italy, and Birmingham, U.K.

On November 30, Little Mix will resume their road trip in Stockholm, Sweden, and then they will play another date on December 1 in Barcelona, Spain. Little Mix has also announced that they will be playing the Jingle Bell Ball in London on December 3.

Although they have more touring in 2017, Little Mix will end their Glory Days Tour/road trip on December 4 at Rust at the Europa Park resort in Germany.

While Little Mix is business as usual during this string of concerts, fans have noted that something has changed about one of them. At Little Mix’s appearance for X Factor in Italy on November 24, Jesy Nelson appears to be transformed, and it was not due to the news about their album being a success.

Instead, it was noted by some fans on Instagram that Jesy Nelson appeared much smaller than usual. About Jesy Nelson looking “too thin,” one fan commented, “I don’t think she looks too thin. I think she looks in a healthy weight range. Poor girl can’t do right. Why does everyone always focus on her weight and appearance?”

In addition to posting a lot of photos of their cutest outfits for X Factor Italia, Little Mix took time to wish everyone in America a “Happy Thanksgiving” on November 24. Little Mix has been paying more attention to their American fans lately because they will begin touring in early 2017 as part of Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman Tour.

Nevertheless, Little Mix is also taking time for personal relationships — if rumors are to be believed. For example, the latest news is that Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards is dating a footballer in England named Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Unlike Perrie Edwards’ ex, Zayn Malik, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is unlikely to end up as the subject of Little Mix fan hatred, according to the Mirror. Mainly, this is due to his teammates for Arsenal saying he is the “nice one” of the team.

Speaking of love and Little Mix, there are also rumors that Jesy Nelson and her boyfriend, Jake Roche of the band Rixton, might have officially broken up. According to E! Online, a Little Mix Snapchat video has been “raising eyebrows.”

In particular, when Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall were interviewed, they were immediately questioned about Jesy Nelson’s relationship status. After all, in July 2015, Ed Sheeran helped Jake Roche propose to Jesy Nelson on stage, and now Jesy Nelson was seen several times without her engagement ring.

About Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards allegedly avoided the question by stating, “That’s brutal, you just came out with that. Next question, sir. What are you going to do without your paper now…”

Regardless, no matter what is happening to Little Mix, it appears that long-time X Factor judge Louis Walsh will get under their skin when he can. For example, Daily Star stated on November 26 that Louis Walsh mocked Little Mix and then subsequently had one of the contestants on X Factor cover one of their songs.

Louis Walsh allegedly praised Matt Terry’s version of “Secret Love Song,” and Little Mix fans were incensed because he had criticized Little Mix’s performance abilities in the past.
