Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise Had A Blast On Thanksgiving — But Where Was Jamie Foxx?

Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise looked like they had a blast on Thanksgiving Day. It got pretty competitive too, as previously reported by the Mirror.

Katie and Suri, her daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise, flew to the actress’s home state of Ohio to enjoy some bonding time during the holidays. The mother-and-daughter duo went to Dave & Buster’s to have a friendly competition at the arcades — and you can see the photos on Katie Holmes’ Instagram account.

In one of the photos, Katie and Suri can be seen side by side facing a big screen and mashing the controls, apparently trying to outdo each other in a video game. Based on the 21-3 score seen on the screen, Suri just cleaned her mother’s clock.

“She beat me,” Holmes captioned the photo.

“Great times @daveandbusters with my family #toledo #family #love #gratitude HAPPY THANKSGIVING!” Holmes captioned in another Instagram photo.

“Love my time with family.”

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise visited Ohio many times even before the divorce with Tom Cruise. The two also came to Ohio for a visit in early September to go shopping at Toledo’s Westfield Franklin Park mall. They entered a Gap store and bought pretzels at Auntie Anne’s, according to a source working at the mall.

Even amid the ongoing divorce drama with Tom Cruise, Katie seemed happy and content just to have Suri to keep her company, so much so that she didn’t mind talking with people there.

“[Katie Holmes] was very sweet and didn’t seem to mind talking to people. She looked happy,” said another source who works at the mall.

“It was nice seeing her coming to the mall and not acting like she was some big star who was so much better than everyone,” another source said, who added that the people at the mall left them alone for the most part.

“It was like she was just one of us. She was smiling and didn’t seem uncomfortable with being there. It was just Katie coming back to her hometown,” said another staffer at the mall.

It’s good to see Suri Cruise spending a lot of time with her mom Katie, who has been having a rough time of late, particularly in regard to her complicated relationship with actor Jamie Foxx.

Actually, to say that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s relationship is complicated is almost an understatement. For one, the two have been keeping their romance an open secret, as is required by a clause Katie signed in her divorce settlement with Tom Cruise, which prohibits the Batman Begins actress from dating publicly for five years after their divorce.

The fact that a clause of such nature exists at all is quite odd, but then again, many things associated with Tom Cruise can be described as odd as well. As reported by Hollywood Life, Katie Holmes agreed to sign the clause just to get the divorce over with “as fast as possible.”

“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” a source told Radar Online

With the “no dating publicly” clause about to expire soon, Holmes reportedly asked Foxx if he is ready to make their relationship public soon. Jamie, however, said that he prefers to maintain the secrecy of their relationship. This didn’t sit well with Holmes. Before long, an argument took place and the couple eventually called off the relationship.

It’s a good thing Suri can always be counted on to provide her mom comfort after the breakup. In early November, just after the split with Jamie Foxx happened, Katie was spotted enjoying a stroll with Suri in Malibu.

As previously reported by Page Six, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx appear to have gotten back together. With that said, people are speculating that the pair is planning to confirm their relationship real soon.
