Synopsis of the Movie: Journey Back To Christmas on Hallmark

It’s Christmastime in 1945, and Hanna Norris is still dealing with the loss of her husband, a military man who died while serving in World War II. For the holidays, Hanna Norris needs to be around her loving family, so she makes the drive in the dead of winter.

But when Hanna is involved in a car accident during a winter storm in New England, her life takes a surprising leap.

Left stranded, Hanna takes cover in an abandoned barn until the storm subsides. Then, lightening strikes, knocking her unconscious. When she comes to, she finds that she has been transported 71 years forward. It is now 2016, and a handsome cop and his partner offer to help.

Hanna is confused about the time period but knows her name and the name of her hometown. But police and doctors are extremely alarmed after Hanna claims that it’s 1945 and that Truman is the president.

With no signs of amnesia, the local people become suspicious of Hanna as her story gets around town. Meanwhile, police officer Jake Stanton decides to help Hanna by allowing her to stay in his parent’s farmhouse. This gives him a chance to check out her identity.

But as Christmas approaches and Hanna busies herself preparing the home for the holidays, something magical and romantic happens between Hanna and Jake. One thing that is for sure, Hanna loves living in the farmhouse, and her strong feelings for Jake are complicated even more by the realization that Jake’s female partner is in love with him, too.

Shortly thereafter, Hanna learns that a “Christmas miracle” might be responsible for the time discrepancy. And when Hanna finds out that it is possible that her husband didn’t die in the war, she begins wondering if she should stay in the present with Jake or make another magical wish that will pull her back into 1945.
