Kanye West Allegedly ‘Paranoid, Depressed,’ Suffers ‘Major Emotional Stress’ With Kim Kardashian?

Since the news that Kanye West had been hospitalized, the reports on the cause of the rapper’s hospitalization have varied. Some media outlets reported exhaustion and sleep deprivation, while others contended that there were different issues, including allegations of “paranoia” and a claim that he feels he is under “spiritual attack.”

CNN reported that West was “under observation” at a hospital in the Los Angeles area, noting that the hospitalization came in the wake of the “abrupt cancellation of his concert tour.”

An insider close to Kanye’s family revealed to CNN that he was under treatment for “exhaustion” at UCLA Medical Center, and that the hospitalization decision occurred following the Los Angeles police’s response to a “disturbance call.”

Although his wife Kim Kardashian was in New York at the time, she got on a plane and returned to Los Angeles when she learned about what had happened. The rapper’s concert promoter, Live Nation, revealed that the dates remaining on his Saint Pablo Tour had been called off.

The media outlet also pointed out that the cancellation comes following “several days of bizarre behavior from the artist,” including a “political rant” about Donald Trump and limiting his performance at a California concert to just two songs, after which he talked more about politics.

“He’s exhausted. He’s just really tired,” said Kim’s mother Kris Jenner. “He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind, so he just needs to rest.”

However, TMZ described Kanye as “in desperate shape… paranoid and profoundly depressed,” citing sources who alleged that he had been “dealing with these issues for a long time.” After the rapper was taken to the hospital, he felt “convinced people were out to get him, including the doctors who were caring for him,” according to the media outlet.

TMZ‘s sources alleged that for awhile, West would not “even let the doctors touch him,” and the media outlet’s insiders also claim “the paranoia has been building for months… obviously going way beyond the stated reasons for the hospitalization… dehydration and exhaustion.”

At this point, the goal reportedly is to get him “home Monday and under the care of his personal doctor,” added the media outlet.

A source told People magazine, which reported that West had been hospitalized for “exhaustion,” that Kanye feels he is “under spiritual attack.” The trip to the hospital was based on his doctor’s advice, added the insider.

“He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. He went to the hospital at will under the advise of his physician. He’s fine.”

The source also revealed that West is “in a very reflective place,” and that although the fact that Kardashian was robbed “didn’t help,” Kim’s terrifying incident is not the key problem.

“He’s dealing with a lot more subtle issues,” explained the insider. “His mother died in November, so this time of year always brings him a lot of pain.”

In addition to being “physically exhausted from lack of sleep, he is also emotionally and spiritually tired,” according to People, whose insider revealed that although “it’s a trying time for his spirit,…that can be a good thing.” Kanye is not a person to “run away” from such issues, added the source.

“He leans in and listens, and comes away a stronger, better man. But it hurts him; his spirit is vexed. But that’s where growth comes from.”

As for how Kardashian’s relationship is with her husband amid these concerns, there allegedly has been some stress between the two.

Kim allegedly spent millions on a home remodel with Kanye, resulting in “major emotional stress” for the couple, reported the New York Daily News.

Kardashian reportedly “sunk at least $8 million into the Hidden Hills estate, which she purchased with her husband” in 2014, according to the media outlet, citing sources who alleged that the enormous cash expenditures result from Kanye’s issues in making up his mind.

“[West is] often telling contractors to rip things out when he’s unhappy with how something looks.”

Consequently, even though Kim and her husband bought the three-acre, $20 million estate several years ago, they reportedly have not spent a single night there because of the remodeling.

“The estate construction has proved to be another added stressor on the couple in the wake of numerous pitfalls,” according to the media outlet, which also reported that West is still in the hospital for his “health and safety,” with Kardashian sticking by his side.

Kim is “very protective” of her husband, reported People. Although Kardashian is sticking by his side, their relationship has “been under some strain,” with one insider describing the situation.

“The last few months have been difficult for their marriage. They bicker a lot and things are not great.”

The source also revealed that Kim has appeared “less patient” with her husband, who allegedly has been “very difficult.” However, the insider also emphasized that now that the rest of the tour dates have been cancelled, Kardashian reportedly is hoping that her “exhausted and overwhelmed” spouse “will feel better soon.”

“He needs to shape up for them to work out,” added the source.
