Mariah Carey Really Cooks On Thanksgiving [Photos]
Mariah Carey may have the persona of a diva, but she still cooks and takes care of her family. The singer made an appearance on The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration on Thanksgiving night, November 24.
On the special, Carey revealed her Thanksgiving plans before she took the stage later on in the two-hour episode. She revealed that contrary to popular belief, she does cook on Thanksgiving. Of course, Carey sang her Christmas hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Among the performers was Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks, JoJo, Flo Rida, One Republic, and Boyz II Men, according to Enstarz.
Carey was also seen hitting up the supermarket before celebrating Thanksgiving with ex-husband Nick Cannon and their two kids, Monroe and Moroccan. Despite her rumored diva reputation, Carey had a very low-key affair. She even documented the entire day for her followers, according to People. The 46-year-old was seen going to the grocery store in Hawaii on Thursday dressed in a white cleavage-baring bodysuit, ripped jeans, sunglasses, and black stiletto heels. Carey even stopped to take photos with fans and posted a fun photo of herself holding two pineapples in front of her chest.
She then put on a yellow apron to cook her Thanksgiving meal. Baking items, cranberries, turkey, and pies were seen spread out on the table.
Carey spent the holiday with Cannon, less than a month after their divorce was finalized. They even recorded a message wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving before eating their meal.
She was even slammed on Instagram for one of her Thanksgiving photos. Carey was accused of using photoshop in one of her photos, according to the Mirror. In one of the cleavage-baring photos of Carey holding a pie, fans noticed that something bizarre was happening. Carey’s left arm looked warped in the photo and the mirror behind her looked curved. Some even noticed that something weird was happening in between her legs.
“That’s got to be some of the worst photoshopping I’ve seen!” one fan wrote.
“Photoshopped!!!!!! Why???? She looks great without it!!!!” another remarked.
The singer has not responded to the photoshop accusations.
Carey recently opened up about her split from fiance James Packer on Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying she’s “doing well” and their break up didn’t affect her all that much.
“Everything happens for a reason,” she said. “Things are the way they are. It’s kind of difficult to talk about it at the moment. So I’m just going to compliment you on these decorations once again because they are fabulous and I’m here.”
There has been a lot going on in both Carey and Cannon’s personal lives lately. Not only did she split from Packer, but he is also expecting another child with on-and-off girlfriend Brittany Bell. In a recent interview with Extra’s Mario Lopez, Carey broke her silence on the shocking news.
“I’ll always be supportive of him… and this is all news to me, ’cause I didn’t know this till maybe last week. I asked him a question and then he kinda said yes, but didn’t, and I’m like, it’s kinda confirmed… If he’s happy that’s great.”
The “Elusive Chanteuse” has also been getting into the holiday spirit, as seen on her Instagram page.
“I have Christmas shows that I do in New York at the Beacon Theater… that’s one of my favorite things to do.”
Carey then broke the news about one of her upcoming projects while singing her famous song “All I Want For Christmas Is You” while adding, “I have another project using that song… it’s animation.”
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey’s new show, Mariah’s World, is set to make its debut on December 4 on E!
