Kanye West To Spend Thanksgiving At Hospital Following Breakdown As Kim Kardashian Leaves His Bedside

Kanye West is probably spending his Thanksgiving holiday at the hospital.

As reported by People,Kim Kardashian West has been spotted leaving the UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday night with her bodyguard and probably won’t be returning by Kanye’s bedside until Thursday morning.

The 39-year-old West has been hospitalized and is undergoing treatment due to sleep deprivation, according to a source close to the American rapper. The source said that Kanye is “starting to feel more like himself,” and that he totally understands that he needs rest and help.

“They are taking it day by day. He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary,” the source added.

“Of course he’s getting the support that he needs right now,” a source said. “Family and friends are around. Kim is being amazing. As are all of his friends and team and inner circle.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kanye West was sent to the hospital due to exhaustion on Monday afternoon, just after he canceled his Saint Pablo tour. The “Famous” rapper was declared “medically stable” when he arrived at the hospital.

Kim Kardashian reportedly stayed by her husband’s bedside before leaving on Wednesday night, causing her to miss Monday evening’s Angel Ball in New York City, which was supposed to be her first public appearance since her traumatic robbery in Paris last October, in which she was tied up and held at gunpoint before being robbed of her millions.

Contrary to rumors that Kanye and Kim are headed for divorce, a source said that Kardashian “feels more connected to Kanye than ever” and that “their marriage is doing great.”

It was said that Kanye West had a mental breakdown because he was pushing himself too hard with his Pablo tour and his commitments to his fashion line.

“It was a combination of a lot of issues: stress, anxiety, paranoia. He just broke,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight. “There have been signs recently of him just overwhelmed. Kanye hasn’t been himself for a while.”

UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital said in their official website that West’s treatment will involve a lot of procedures.

“The patient will be seen by an emergency department physician who will perform a basic medical screening examination and determine whether the patient needs additional consultation from specialty services.”

“If indicated, the psychiatric consultant will then be called to assess the patient. This entire process can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on the volume and severity of cases in the emergency department.”

Kardashian was reportedly “terrified” when she learned of West’s breakdown.

Kris Jenner also said on Monday that Kanye was “exhausted” by his “grueling tour.”

West was at his trainer’s home on Monday when he started behaving “erratically,” according to People. At 1:20 pm, a disturbance call was made. Shortly after, Kanye West was escorted to UCLA Medical Center and was admitted as per a physician’s advice following a “temporary psychosis” caused by dehydration and exhaustion, TMZ reports.

Their children – North, three, and Saint, 11-months – are currently in the care of their nannies while Kim is staying by Kanye’s side.

Another contributing factor to Kanye West’s mental breakdown was the time of year, a source told People.

Incidentally, Kanye’s late mother Donda West, aged 58, died on November 10, 2007, due to complications from cosmetic surgery.

The source said that “the anniversary of his moms death is an aspect of what’s going on in that it’s added emotional stress.”

“This time of year always brings him a lot of pain. He keeps that pain internalized, but sometimes will talk about how hard this time of year is for him,” the source added.
