Kelly Dodd Doesn’t Understand ‘RHOC’ Fights: Should The Show Ban Fights And Drama?

Kelly Dodd has only been on The Real Housewives of Orange County for one season, but she’s learning that she can’t always make sense of what is happening on the show. While Dodd wanted to give everyone a chance when she joined the show, she quickly became friends with Vicki Gunvalson, as the other ladies didn’t like how she wanted to give Vicki a chance. They were still upset about last year’s drama regarding Brooks Ayers, and they wanted Vicki to apologize to all of them.

According to a new tweet, Kelly Dodd is now revealing that she doesn’t understand how some hurt feelings could escalate to the point where the ladies are yelling at one another and screaming at the top of their lungs. Even though the ladies can argue and make up, it sounds like the drama that went down on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is enough to completely ruin some friendships. And when Jenny McCarthy questioned why the ladies felt a need to argue so much considering they are rich and have money, Dodd revealed that she had asked herself that same question.

“Dear Housewives of Bravo, You are rich. Why do you need to put yourselves through these horrific fights? Help me understand. #RHOC reunion,” Jenny McCarthy asked on Twitter, to which Kelly Dodd replied, “I often ask myself that question???”

Of course, some of the ladies have been on the show for quite some time, and it sounds like they know that drama brings the ratings and the ratings ensure that the show keeps going. Some of the ladies have lied in the past and started unnecessary fights just to continue their role on the show. And this season, fans were surprised that Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, and Tamra Judge stuck together. They were labeled the mean girls, as they were angry when people talked about them, but felt they could talk openly about Kelly Dodd and their dislike for Vicki Gunvalson.

‘RHOC’ Kelly Dodd On Whether She’s Still Friends With Meghan King Edmonds

As for Meghan King Edmonds, who had been a primary investigator last year, managed to stay out of the drama for the most part. She was focused on her pregnancy, even though she was the one who was close friends with Kelly Dodd. Meghan was the one who introduced Kelly to the show and encouraged her to film with the ladies. Even though King Edmonds saw things in Dodd throughout the season that she didn’t appreciate, she never turned her back on her friend.

But some people believe that the fighting has to do with the fame that comes with the show. Some housewives, not just the ones in Orange County, will say and do just about anything to start a fight because they enjoy the attention afterward. Whether it’s good or bad press, they get mentioned in the media. Kelly Dodd doesn’t seem to feel the same way.

“15 minutes of fame is seductive,” one person revealed, hinting that some of the ladies were only being rude and aggressive because it gave them attention from bloggers and the media, but some people missed the early days of the classy housewives.

“The intent of the show should be to have more fun, less drama, more parties, less fighting. #RHOC. I want to see fabulous vacations and posh parties not bitter cat fights. Some shade but not mean,” one of Kelly Dodd’s followers wrote to her, sharing that it would be fun to see more parties and less fighting.

Perhaps some of the real life issues, including health issues and divorces, would be more interesting to watch rather than fighting over who said what to who.
