‘Little People, Big World’ Heartbreaker: The Roloffs Say Goodbye To Camerino

In the Season 12 premiere episode of Little People, Big World, titled “Gonna Be A Long Road,” the family must face the fact that their beloved Roloff Farm foreman, Camerino Gonzales, is being deported. The timing couldn’t be worse for the family, especially for patriarch Matt Roloff. He just returned from having neck surgery and barely had time to get settled into bed before Camerino told him that he was leaving for Mexico the next day.

The scene was hard to watch, and Matt promises that once he is back on his feet, he will do everything he can to bring Camerino back. As they hugged and said goodbye, both of them began to cry, with Matt saying “Don’t go!” as Camerino leaves. Tearful fans were shocked and took to social media to express their dismay at the sad turn of events on Little People, Big World. Despite the Roloff family’s best efforts, lawyers were unable to keep Camerino from being deported and separated from his family, including his two young daughters.

According to Wetpaint, the rest of the family is just as upset, with Amy telling her son, Zach, what the situation was with Camerino.

“It’s sad but I just heard from the lawyer and it’s official, Camerino’s gotta go,” Amy tells him. “He’s gotta get deported. It’s devastating.”

Camerino crossed the border 24 years ago and has been working on Roloff Farm for the past 17 years. Although the family is losing Matt’s trusted right-hand man, they are also concerned for Camerino’s family. An emotional Amy states that she can’t imagine having to leave her children behind like Camerino must do when he is sent back to his native Mexico.

“What I think it means for his family is, you know, his family’s going to be broken up,” Amy tells Zach. “The girls are going to be raised without a dad, I don’t know.”

The episode does not reveal any further information on Camerino’s family, especially on what plans he has made for his daughters’ care while he is gone. Viewers will undoubtedly tune in to see what happens as Matt and the rest of the Roloff family continue to work to get Camerino’s immigration issues resolved and get him back to his family.

As for the rest of this season on Little People, Big World, as Matt begins to recover from his surgery, he comes up with more farm projects. He decides to install around 70 several surveillance cameras on the property so he can keep an eye on the farm at all times. Amy is opposed to the cameras, and Matt reassures her that there are no cameras around her house.

Red Carpet Crash shared that he also decided to purchase a large metal storage container, transforming it into a preppers box for any emergency that may arise, be it natural or man-made. He encourages the entire family to lend a hand and wants everyone to do a test run in his new bunker.

As for other family members, this season of Little People, Big World finds Amy venturing out as she continues to explore what it means to be single. Zach and Tori decide to take a special road trip as they celebrate their first year of marriage. Fans of the show recently learned that the couple are expecting their first child, and according to People, the happy couple will welcome their first baby in May. While they don’t know the gender of the baby yet, they do plan to find out sometime after the holidays.

“We are super excited and can’t wait to be parents,” Zach and Tori told People.

Jeremy and Audrey have future plans to expand their family and perhaps eventually they will move to the farm, but for them, the timing isn’t right for either event. Molly will most likely make occasional appearances when she visits the family, but for now, her job keeps her busy in Spokane, Washington. The youngest Roloff sibling, Jacob, currently resides in California and has no desire to appear on Little People, Big World. He does stay in touch with his family, however, and recently spent some time with his girlfriend at the farm during pumpkin season.
