Lamar Odom owes Kanye West, and the 37-year-old former professional basketball player allegedly feels like now would be the time to pay back the man he looks up to — if only he knew how to do it.
On Monday, Kanye West was taken to the UCLA Medical Center in handcuffs, where he was placed on a 5150 hold pending a psychiatric evaluation. According to TMZ, the rapper was being checked out for severe sleep deprivation at his personal trainer's home when he began acting erratically. Eventually, his doctor called 911 requesting assistance for a male with mental illness.
There's been an outpouring of love from fans following Kanye's hospitalization https://t.co/dBrjpsJRozNo word on whether Kanye has been released from the hospital, but that makes no difference in Lamar's desire to help his long-time friend. After all, Kanye was credited with helping to nurse Odom back to health more than a year ago when Odom spent months recovering from his Las Vegas-area brothel drug overdose.

According to reports, Yeezy spent countless hours playing music and sharing his The Life of Pablo work with Lamar, which reportedly played a large role in helping Lamlam learn to talk again.
Now, Lamar is desperate to help Kanye recover quickly, according to a report from Hollywood Life.
"Lamar can't believe 'Ye's in the hospital. WTF. Damn, Lamar's really taking this news hard. Lam idolizes Kanye and wishes he could do something to help. Lamar would love to be there for him, you know, to return the favor when Kanye brought his family to be by his side when he almost died a year ago."The news of Kanye West's hospitalization came on the heels of the news that he had canceled the remaining stops in his Saint Pablo concert tour. During his last few shows, West went off on bizarre rants and left the stage after only a few songs — if he even showed up at all.
Despite reports to the contrary, sources from Kanye West's camp insist that the rapper is fine and simply needs some time to rest. A source told People magazine that Kanye willingly went to the hospital.
"He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation. He went to the hospital at will under the advise of his physician. He's fine."TMZ added that Kanye was only restrained with handcuffs when taken to the hospital because that's the protocol when an individual is placed under a 5150 hold.
The source for People went on to say that Kanye is not dealing with a mental breakdown but instead is simply dealing with exhaustion.
"He's just exhausted. He's been working around the clock on fashion design, both on his own line and the Adidas line. He's a notorious workaholic, so balancing both that work — which is extremely important to him — and the rigors of the tour every night, it really wore him out."West's hospitalization came on the same day that his wife, Kim Kardashian, was scheduled to appear in public for the first time since her Paris robbery. Kim K was set to join her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, at the Angel Ball in New York City. Instead, Kim rushed back to Los Angeles and Kourtney and Khloe attended the event without Kim.
On the scene as Kris, Kourtney, and Khloe step out on the same night Kanye is hospitalized https://t.co/ggpW5RGM1xIt's through Khloe Kardashian that Lamar Odom and Kanye West got to be good friends. Khloe is waiting for a judge to sign off on her divorce from the former Los Angeles Lakers player.
