Nadya Suleman Returns To The Spotlight, Tries To Shed ‘Octomom’ Persona For Her Daughters

Nadya Suleman is making her way back into the headlines. She has been flying under the radar for over two years now, going unnoticed by most of society. Suleman was thrust into the spotlight when she gave birth to octuplets in 2009. This was one of the most bizarre news stories at the time as she was a single mother who already had six children at home. With 14 children to raise, there weren’t a lot of choices available for Suleman to make enough money to single-handly support her family.

It has been quite some time since Nadya Suleman has given an interview about her life. According to Yahoo Sports, Nadya Suleman sat down with Good Morning America and talked about how she plans to reinvent her life. She now goes by Natalie, a name that is no longer synonymous with “Octomom.” Her children range from 18 all the way down to the almost 8-year-old octuplets. Suleman has a regular job, one that doesn’t require her to compromise her integrity or self-esteem. It has been a long road, but she is confident that things are headed in the right direction.

Being the “Octomom” became a thing for Nadya Suleman. When she found herself down and out with no money left, she used her fame to cash in and help support her family. From that famous solo sex tape to stripping at a local club, the allure of the “Octomom” became a way for her to make money. Of course, the news spread like wildfire, and she was heavily criticized by anyone and everyone who thought they had a say about her life.

Suleman was so down on herself that she began to self-medicate with Xanax. During the interview, she explained what finally made her decide to turn her life around, and the answer was right in front of her all along.

Nadya Suleman’s children suffered a lot over the course of the last eight years. They were ridiculed, and they watched as their mother spiraled out of control. Suleman talked about how her kids would hear stories about her from other kids, and they would get defensive. One of her daughters talked about how she was talked down to because her mother was a stripper, and she would proudly reply that she is a counselor. In fact, that is Suleman’s new career path. She has taken a job as a family counselor, which is likely the reason for her name change as well.

While on Good Morning America, Nadya Suleman made it a point to address the moment she knew she had to change. According to the Hollywood Gossip, she had walked in and saw one of her daughters dressed up in a stripper costume, strutting around their home. It was this moment that changed her life. She could no longer justify dancing for money or promoting her solo sex tape. Suleman received only $8,000 for the tape, which wasn’t enough to be life-changing. After a lot of poor choices, things seem to be looking up for the “Octomom” now.

As things move forward for Nadya Suleman, she is offering an apology to anyone she hurt. It was a very rough time for her, adding the octuplets wasn’t something she was mentally prepared to handle. When the offers and the help ran out, Suleman was left alone to raise 14 children, many of them unable to help themselves. After making some bad decisions and moving through some of the darkest times of her life, Nadya Suleman is shedding her “Octomom” persona and working toward being the mom she should have been years ago.
